We also have Conway. He is a backyard breeder stud and was surrendered last year because he turned 3. Thankfully, his breeder let him have a life afterward. Another local backyard breeder has her studs and mamas put to sleep when they turn 5. Missouri's laws are too lax. 😢
Annie was rescued from a dog auction when she was 1.5 (she's 3). She must have failed as a breeder at the Amish dog farm (calling it what it is -stacks of crated dogs in huge barns) so they decided to sell her. Two years with us and she is so sweet and loving, but afraid of everything.
Harvey loves evening walks, but he is not a leader. In fact, he won't walk through our front door in or out and won't walk until I carry him to the road, put him down, and Do Not Look At Him. 😂 (I laugh, but this is puppy mill "stud" trauma.) #AdoptDontShop
