Some guy in Scotland trying to write strange stuff. Ex scientist. Current nothing. Occasional maker of dusty musical rambles. First novel coming soon...
Had this on my shelf for a while but just flew through it. Brilliant book. I see it's cheap on Amazon too.
These are my spacing settings. Just posting in case it can save you the bother of suggesting something I've already tried.
I've tried different docs too and it always does the same. Even if it is converted to a text file. I use Open Office to write but have tried using Word too as input. Here's a example of the bottom of two pages to just be sure you know what I mean is going on.
Any ideas would be great. Thank you! I'm at a loss. I've managed to get everything else in place. Here's a pic of my flow options (how the tutorial told me to set it). If (against the tutorial advice) I uncheck prevent widowed last lines, it seems to get a bit better but still not ideal.
Currently reading this for the first time. Very much taken by the mysticism-infused ambiguous weirdness so far.
Sometimes herons appear just when you need them. Actually made me jump when I looked down. Never had one so close, just a couple of feet away.
There was a cat on here playing ambient the other day, so I thought I'd showcase a short part of Mooncat's new Works for Organ.
Vegan oat bite thingies. Palatable. Exactly what you'd expect from someone with cats named Moon and Maya. Me, that is.
Not too bad in the end. Yes it's only half a cake, but it's enough for two.
This MP3 player has all the pointless trinkets. A stopwatch, an alarm, a calculator, an FM radio and a voice recorder etc. But it will only play album tracks in alphabetical order. Its hard to imagine such a fundamental disregard for basic functionality isn't intentional.
Does make me smile that I randomly reposted only these two posts while I was scrolling through my profile to look for something unrelated, three days before coming across JF Martel's review. Only realised today too..
This fine sea stalker from down the road would have been worth a follow I'd say.
