Loved creating this spread from my new book - Red Cat the firefighter. The design on the flaps features a smart little recess on three edges so the flap can be pulled open easily. Took a bit to get my head around but so nice : ) #kidlit #boardboards #spencerwilson

Things that bring me joy… for my birthday this year I got this Dick Bruna light which gives a delicious yellow glow to an evening, coupled with this cosy crocheted blanket ( it’s huge) my daughter made sitting underneath a You & Me Anthony Burrill… lovely : )

Alongside the day to day printmaking brings me a lot of joy… and when I can I get the inks out. Currently I get digital art machined on to metal plates which I hand press. I love the process, the smell and I like to vary the pressure to give some nuance to each print… a kinda ‘makers mark’
