I really like PoseMyArt. At times I have difficulties trying to get a full grasp on what environments I want to draw and from what angle, so having a simple program I can just load up and build something like a temple or something is so very useful.

We do see Klingon spears iin Worf's quarters so we know, along with Mek'Leths and other weapons, Klingons did have that too. Plus javelins. But Bat'Leths are the really iconic one, so we see that the most

Today I found out that courgette plants apparently get spikes on them, like a bramble does. It never occurred to me before! I pricked my finger on it enough to draw blood. Also our little vegetable garden is doing amazingly!

But even that doesn't compare with how utterly shite this extremely stupid... THING is. I refuse to dignify it with the moniker of sword. It's the most idiotic fictional weapon I've ever seen, which includes the gunblade or dog missile launcher from Final Fantasy.

Then there's this thing. The Sword of Khaless. This thing is dumb as hell. It's less useful than its descendants. It's got a big, heavy spike in the middle, which seems neat at first, but really just throws the balance off even worse than it already was. It's covered in needless jagged edges...

Contrary to what's often said, there are several different shapes of bat'leth, besides "normal" and "Sword of Khaless." Some have a more pronounced curve than others. While not the greatest weapon ever, the fact is it's nowhere near as impractical as it's often portrayed by its harshest critics.

But then we have THIS garbage. The reasoning for this, apparently, was that it's more of a defensive weapon; designed for defending ones' body and "honour." I don't know about you, but for me, two hooked blades aimed at your own face and body don't feel very protective. They are an active danger.

Now this isn't the first time we've seen a bat'leth redesign. For instance, the Kelvin timeline bat'leths. This thing is also stupid, and for similar reasons; inward-facing blades which are not just useless, but dangerous for its wielder. Stabbing yourself with this is a statistical inevitability.

Y'know what, I'm still not over this. What absolute moron looked at the bat'leth and thought THIS was an improvement?! Could they not have gotten a single person who had the slightest clue in their heads how melee weapons work to look at improving the bat'leth? So here's a thread about bat'leths 🧵

Damn. That's a letdown. The Legacy Vector Prime is okay as far as retools go, I like the chest, shoulders and head, but as far as a proper new VP goes, it was kinda mid and missed a LOT of what made the original interesting. Seeing the new one is just a brown repaint is disappointing.

I really wish there was a proper, full shot showing of Optimus' very tall mum, Codexa. I'd like to draw some fan art of this character, maybe even see more of her in future stories, but I can't find any full body shot of her, or concept art or something.

Infamously, when watching in HD, you can see black tape or matte paper put everywhere on panels and keyboards. These were to hide reflections, or the glare from studio lights, or some other issue obvious in the shot at times. Makes you wonder why they made everything so shiny and never fixed it!

I was looking at this image and realised that all the panels in the background have a matte finish to them. This is pretty funny to me, as it addressed an issue which lasted a decade. The TNG sets had one omnipresent problem... 🧵

That or the truly abysmal and really horribly executed Joker story from Morrison's (way overrated IMO) Batman run in the 2000s. This one fails so hard it's not even a comic, it's just a horribly mangled bad experiment.

My favourite example of this is the CHILDREN'S TOY they made, where kids were encouraged to play with URANIUM. Like yeah, kid, mess around with the little radioactive cloud, what's the worst that could happen?
