I only visited the Capitol once, my first trip back east. Plane tickets purchased on 9/10/2001. What happened the next day changed how that trip in Dec 2001 went. Ahighlight was being one the first tourist groups back in the Capitol bldg on 12/9/01, where I got a copy of the US Constitution.

Just finished The Capitol by @brianjayjones.com It's a really fascinating read! For some reason my brain always assumed the Capitol was conceived as it is now, not that it went through multiple iterations. The men who built it were sometimes hysterically petty, but talented (e.g.Meigs).

12 hrs searching the house high & low, she could hear me calling for her. But do you think this tiny diva would pop out & put my mind at ease. Of course not. So, instead of watching Grantchester, I'll be disassembling a bed.

They are. Well all dogs are the best dogs. Despite, all but my first 2 dogs being rescues, I've only had one mutt. A sweet little chihuahua mix. Unfortunately she had a heart problem & we lost her at 5 yrs old.

My sad little toothless fur baby has come out for pets, so I guess I'm forgiven for taking Bailey to the vet.

This little goober is going to set me back three grand because he needs his remaining teeth pulled. The cat distribution system gives you free cats but nails you on the vet bills. Money can start falling from the sky anytime now.

The ladies enjoying the unseasonably warm weather & getting some sun. The fence is covered, because even with t-rex arms for legs, Bella can climb the fence & was returned by the neighbors.

When my beloved mastiff had a cyst removed from his ribs, the cone of shame that fit his neck meant he could not fit through doors, so we put old t-shirts on him.

Timeline cleanser: we all wish we could sleep like my lady basset exhausted from all the spoiling. As opposed to not sleeping as we worry about what happens next.

I had a procedure this morning and I'm just supposed to chill all day (which means I shouldn't doom scroll, but I'm kind of stuck in bed with a phone), so the best part is my fur babies have decided to hang (I was too lazy to change when I got home, hence the jeans). Everyone deserves velcro pets.
