So prescient, I never had a Twitter account.
They posted shitty. If their flouncing and touching grass means 1. they see improved mental health, and 2. we don't have to see another 8000 posts from them, that doesn't "suck" — indeed it'd seem to be a Pareto improvement.
One reason might be that some of _the parliamentarians themselves_ don't take abuse, including abuse of their staff, seriously. See the reporting linked from the opinion piece. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
Reminded me to look in on the UN FAO's trusty Food Price Index. Is this good?
I'm personally don't think it's much of an own to weaken a country's currency by threatening it and then subjecting it to a war of aggression. (And Trump's chart's likely AI dog shit, the horizontal axis goes from "Q4'25" to "Q1'25" to "Q2'26", and the sans-serif font looks ChatGPTish to me.)
This has been a "Trending" item for multiple days in a row. _The Odyssey_ "hit" 3919 theaters 23 days ago. I guess trending topics get assigned headlines when they first bubble up, and are stuck with those headlines forever after.
I contain multitudes. I willingly, even cheerfully (so long as I don't have to pay), engage frontier LLMs to write code for me. At the same time, my favorite thing posted on X about AI remains this:
If you're writing off politicians campaigning on affordability as an inevitable road to bigotry and specifically antisemitism, I'd say you are in fact lost in politics, no "feel" about it.
And your claim that "every accusation on here" "quotes something other than the actual supposed misconduct" is patently false; sometimes I literally just quote "the actual supposed misconduct" without writing any gloss on it at all.
I'm old enough (viz.: one day old) to remember when people weren't reading enough theory.
Perhaps relevant that the last time Will Stancil ran in an election, an opponent reckoned some of his troll tweets (which included suggesting to people, twice, that they drink bleach) were sufficiently controversial as to warrant printing out and mailing to people.
Once again the Vile Rancid Anti-Intellectual Chart-Hating Immature Palestinian Transgender Sexual Subculture Harassment Leftist Mob is misquoting known smol bean and birthday boy Will Stancil. And isn't that the real outrage here??
I wonder what a gender lens might tell us about the last time Stancil had one of his Riddle Me This episodes.
Might I suggest that better evidence of our community being "diseased" is that you, someone who grandstands about the badness of online lying, harvested hundreds of likes by misrepresenting a trans woman as an obligate compulsive masturbator to your 100k-strong audience?
You'd prefer the Asian Freeloaders, Amirite style of leftism, huh.
Raised one eyebrow at "Asian", then another at who reposted this.
Well, if you can't make yourself clear, there's not much I can do about that. Fortunately the negative-infinity calculations went well; comparing finitudes to negative infinity turns out to be quite easy. But while you're checking up on calculations, couldja check the arithmetic on this one? 👇
This kind of Elites™-coming-after-me-is-actually-Elites™-coming-after-you bullshit deserved mockery coming from e.g. Trump, and it deserves mockery coming from Haley Stevens.
And while Stancil may not have called them stupid to their faces...
I haven't had the patience to track the development of this latest Stancil Struggle Session, and hadn't been tracking who was taking which side, so shout-out to @setnoclip01.bsky.social for digging up a math PhD and a statistics-workbook author straight up disagreeing with Stancil.
I think there's some truth in the idea that you can cultivate an abusive following. Like how an hour after posting that, you amplified a post from someone who supported you by snarling about "the queer shithead crowd, [...] eternally angry that Will correctly identified them as queer shitheads".
