The AFL reported an underlying operating surplus of $67.9 million in 2025, compared with an underlying operating surplus of $45.4 million in 2024 - an increase of $22.5 million. This result includes results from the AFL’s controlled state subsidiaries, Marvel Stadium and Champion Data.

The sale yielded around AU$1.152b - to be split amongst the counties, with total club valuations in excess of AU$2.175b. The average sale was AU$144m, with the Spirit coming in at AU$283m for 49%m, while Manchesters 70% selloff yielded AU$227m.
Seven’s coverage of the entire BBL|15 season reached more than 12.4m people across Seven/7plus - up 2% YoY. More than 2.4m tuned in on 7plus, up 77%. The average total TV audience 664,000, up 9% YoY. Live streaming minutes for the season hit 578 million on 7plus which was up 102% YoY.
Friday night has Sevens best average audience for the #BBL - not unexpected, whole Sunday has the worst average - see graph note. Monday- Thursday are otherwise relatively close.
