Outdoors have draw distance like an N64 game and Americans will still look at that and think, “I should mow my lawn.” I live in the dumbest country 🤦🏻♂️
I’ve barely seen anyone talking about this, but it’s real bad. We live in one of the dark zones, too. You can’t see much of the sky right now, it’s just a hazy layer 🙃
This is what I ended up doing for my final display pose. I think it mitigates a lot of the problems. The hand rests on the knee and if the whole thing droops over time the rifle will rest on the shield It has held up like this for quite a while now ✌️ Now I want to build another MG GM 😅
We…have a few Pokémon plushies. Almost all of these came from Japan, between this trip and the last one. A handful, I’ve had for many years from NYC trips
Built a new corner unit, haven’t shopped for new lighting to go on top of it yet This looks good enough, right? Ship it 😅
I’d say thankfully models don’t require cement anymore, but some absolutely do. Every single Volks Five Star Stories kit, including the brand new ones as recently as last month, requires cement 🙃 They look so cool, too 🥲
Literally, this was our airport situation. We weren’t even the most egregious there, either. The record I counted was someone wheeling around a cart with FOURTEEN suitcases on it
I did take one photo with them just to show that it CAN technically hold all of its weapons at once lol
Baby’s first Robot Spirits figure. An unbelievable find (Super Robot Wars Y Collector’s Edition) at Lashinbang in Shibuya
The final model kit total from Japan was 23, for anyone interested HG x7 RG x3 MG x2 NG x2 RE/100 x1 FM x1 30MF x1 Arcanadea x3 Megami Device x2 Frame Arms Girl x1 Don’t mind the mess, I was just trying to get it all out of suitcases 😅 Ask me about anything that’s not readable ✅
I repainted mine and did seam line erasure in the process. It wasn’t too bad. The masking was maybe a 2/5 difficulty and the seam line erasure was about the same
In the 11th hour, with one final trip to Mandarake Shibuya (on a whim! On our way to Hands), look what Lauren found for me We had seen precisely ZERO - new or open - anywhere else. Then bam, there she is in the display case with less than 48h until we leave Japan 🍀
If you like girlpla, Inou Shoten is my must-visit recommendation for supplies. They have SO MUCH STUFF (and do not have a website where they sell online). I got glass doll eyes there I’m gonna try You can’t find it searching in English (the label is from my custom map), so here’s the map pin
I now have objective evidence that yes, I could definitely pilot a mech with no prior experience
“Do not go to observe rivers or the sea,” officials urged, regarding the day we were going to visit Enoshima Island lol
