I gotchu, Jenn! Sorry one is sideways! One for treats and one for "salad"? It used to be cooler around here, so rhubarb would grow!
Right? And the Hartwell, GA. I just scanned the two most used pages. Look at this fun icing--
My other two favorites: A Hawaiian Society, and a D.A.R. cookbook from Hartwell Georgia. I do not know how old it is and there's no specific mention of dates. But there are advertisers, and several list their phone numbers. One is: 22. Another is: 69. Do you know how old that is?!
Have located my favorite vintage cookbooks. The one with no cover but clear plastic is a rebound version of the Plateau United Methodist cookbook from maybe the late seventies. My grandmother and mother and aunt and all their kin are in this book and it's where my amazing ice cream recipe is from.
My friend Candi gave me these excellent spice shelves when she moved and I've used them, but am finally organizing with my most used things. They are just so cool and versatile. I think from Ikea, dunno.
Sometimes it's so nice to have a professional nerd squad living in my house.
Oh! You thought I was a woman? Common misconception. Actually, I'm an Omen.
Trixie says that she knows you dropped some chicken yesterday and wondered if maybe... #cats
Got all my chickens safe today. But today was kind of wild. Y'all have any lovely aphorisms or memes or ridiculous cat pictures, or etc? 😘😘
Bianca knows I'm feeling angry. This is why she's sleeping on me. She feels most drawn to me when I'm angry, as it is her nature to be feral and angry.
Fat chick in a hammock, my happy place. My beloved gave me this hammock, and might not love me now, but the hammock is still a good one, just as the love was, and mine always is. It takes a radical love and acceptance to get through life. I hope I do a decent job, for real, not performance.
Me: oh, I got a cute lipstain today, I'll take a selfie My BELOVED OLDEST CHILD, coming into the kitchen: ooooh, your hair is down! You look like a big witch! A lovely, lovely bog witch! #complimentary
What's on your table this week, Birdie? Glad you asked. Contraband. Contraband is on my table.
Adding this to my dating profile because as a xennial, I'm tired of trying to explain that people need to be good humans:
They were so magenta, but closer to the dark magenta on this chart. If I remember correctly, @dovieonice.bsky.social said they were Seriously Magenta, and then accidentally they were.
All I want in life is somebody who looks at me with half the kindness and love that Trixie looks at Oldest, or her great sorrowing face because homework isn't yet complete. I had somebody I looked at that way, once. I didn't need rescue, he didn't make much money, and my eyes shone near him. Alas.
So here's the thing. I thought maybe I couldn't ever marry because they'd want a tradwife and I can't do the physical labor of that well anymore. But, what if Í just found a loophole: ltr or marriage with a really good prenup, and
Feeling slightly more rosy like my body is doing a good job of kicking out this sinus infection!
Thursday reunion breakfast is bacon and ice cream. 🤷♀️ I'm about to make a drink.
Youngest made his favorite salad dressing, which combines a honey mustard and vinegarette with chili oil. They demolished it.
