56 years around the sun today! Although they got my ass in jury duty today, I took me to lunch and had a wonderful glass of sangria. It’s a gorgeous Summer day in the NYC!

Just ordered a plant stand with built in grow light. Here’s a picture of all the plants I grew last year (a building was obstructing the sunlight). First time using grow lights. It truly helps.

It was my birthday week and I was driving back from brunch with my best friend who came up from Georgia. Can’t see her but she’s next to me in the passenger seat. Beautiful day.
When I say this year’s 5 cheese (Extra Sharp, Sharp, Smoked Gouda, Asiago and Manchego) mac n cheese is the star of the show…baebae!

Unfortunately, I switched salon locations so I may never see him again. But you’re correct, I should’ve talked to him. His fits were always on point though. Here’s another photo I snuck and took of “the smoking man”.
This man used to sit and smoke a cig on the bus stop bench in front of my salon all the time. Don’t know him or his name but I’m sure he’s got some stories. It was on a warm day in March of 2021. On this day I snuck a pic of “the smoking man”.

Took a picture of this bird today. Not your average NYC bird. Its wings were beautifully blue and it looks like it has on a helmet. Interesting…

In the early ‘90s my team commissioned Kadir Nelson to create a piece for our Black History Month celebration. This piece by Kadir is displayed prominently in our home. Kadir is a national treasure.
Took this photo on my way home tonight. The moon is full but appears so small behind this building. It was actually big and beautiful. Amazing how it so brightly illuminates. It’s a crisp and clear Winter’s night in NYC.
I had the opportunity to meet Chef Jose Andres this year. It was an honor! Chef Andres is an exemplary humanitarian who deserves all his flowers.
