Personally I think that people should get their self-rehabilitation done *before* becoming one of the most powerful people in the world. The fact Platner didn't preemptively acknowledge his sins or have a speech prepared to explain how he's grown is a sign that he never sufficiently self-rehabbed

i find this line of conversation to be intellectually tasteless. Nobody makes fun of you if you say that you took extra time on your math homework by having a calculator double check your work.
