Some criminals tried to break in last night. It was only thwarted thanks to some superb work by the same criminals.
Employee of the month is Frank, one of our Jet Bridge operators! He found out a Lufthansa pilot has been 'boarding' his wife yet he still came to work. You'd never have known. Top lad. 🏆
Thanks to our new health initiative, we've just opened a new salad bar at the Glasgow Gate.
A letter in here from a very nervous flyer, little Amy, 7. She asks, 'what's inside a jet engine, are they safe?' Absolutely Amy, in fact here you can see how everything works. I hope that helps.
We're still managing to direct planes to the gate, even though all systems are down.
The school holidays have started and so have our Summer Camps! The inflatable slides seem to have gone down really well with the young ones.
If you sneak up behind a 747 and clap your hands really loudly, they get so frightened they relieve themselves instantly.
I've had a bag of bolts on my desk all week. I've no idea what they're for, but I'm sure it will come to me.
Absolutely delighted to welcome the launch of a new low cost carrier to the airport today!
The relationship between a handler and their 787 is a beautiful thing. This one is only a few months old, yet can already sit and lie down on command.
Let's see what we have on the inflight entertainment this week. Oh ffs...
Loved watching him when I was a kid. He peaked my interest in aviation.
A magnificent 250th Birthday fly past from the RAF over New York. A real tribute to the 'special relationship' from the U.K. to President Trump. Makes you proud.
We organised a July the 4th celebration for our American frien...oh ffs
Solemn moment here. The white smoke means the Ramp Agent's Conclave has selected a new Head of Baggage Handling, the successive line of Saint Sam Sonite.
Technically we can log that as another safe take off. Landing is another airport's problem. #SafetyFirst
The new Valet parker seems to be fitting in well. @erwin-hattingh.bsky.social
Delighted to be the first airport in the world to develop a convertible push back tractor. Perfect for summer!
The heatwave has taken its toll on the runway. We might have to take a look at that ‘Tarmac,’ the fancy material our Head of Maintenance keeps banging on about.
That's the 900 year old Bayeux Tapestry just arrived in the Freight Warehouse, ready for transporting to the British Museum for display. I had a sneak preview and it's absolutely magnificent.
Airlines, please, please, please make sure your aircraft are hydrated in this unseasonal heat. We do not like to see this, desperately struggling to get to a watering hole. Poor thing.
Gorgeous. A young sniffer dog learning to spot and retrieve. They have an almost telepathic understanding with their handlers
We're now offering fares to Edinburgh for only £5*. *no aircraft, we just tow the boarding stairs up the motorway
Good to see the ex has started a business. Hope she does well. No hard feelings here.
The bond between a handler and their sniffer dog is unbelievably strong. This is Gary with a new recruit we bought from Fast Eddie down the pub. I think it's a labradoodle. Welcome to the canine fleet fella!
