I was on the road for church today! Went up to Santa Fe and worshipped at St. Bede’s. It’’s one of the more unique sanctuaries I’ve ever seen, round in the shape of a Navajo hogan. Really warm and lovely people there!
Today was my last chance to #TouchPews at my church before construction/renovations start on our sanctuary on May 4. Once the renovations are complete, chairs will replace our pews. Is #TouchChairs a thing? 😂 ⚓️
Drop your crime fighting Catholics First one that came to my mind...
Happy Easter! Christ is risen, alleluia! This was our last Holy Week in our sanctuary before a major renovation starting in May. We all love our church but look forward to what it will soon become! ⚓️ ✝️
Reminded yet again that I am dust. #AshWednesday #Lent #TouchPews ⚓️
Seems like we escaped the worst of the winter storm in Albuquerque, so I am once again #touchingpews this morning. ⚓️
Merry Christmas to you all from St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Albuquerque! Due to an upcoming renovation, this is likely our last Christmas in our current sanctuary. But I am excited for what’s to come!
🚨 QUESTION PROMPT 🚨 What was your first automobile? Mine was a 1988 Mazda 323 hatchback, which I bought when I was in the Army. It was a peppy little car and I loved it to pieces! The picture is not of my actual car, but mine was the same color and configuration.
My BCP was given to me as a baptismal gift in 1979 and is still in great shape! I didn’t realize it until just now, but it was published in 1977 as the “proposed” BCP.
A great day at church today! Our rector gave a great sermon, we sang “O Come, O Come Emanuel” at communion, and I had a lovely conversation at coffee hour with a new member. And we made Advent wreaths today! Mine is in the picture.
I’m touching pews but NOT at my home church today. I’m meeting friends at our Cathedral this morning! #TouchPrws
Touching pews today at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Albuquerque, my home parish. In the background is part of the ofrenda we have set up for All Saints . #touchpews ⚓️
Hey, all! Just wanted to say that I had a GREAT time today at the #NoKings march in Albuquerque! Marched with some friends from my church. Great crowd and energy and thanks to Speaker Johnson for inspiring me to go! ⚓️
And we’re supposed to believe that it would be paid for by reducing police overtime? The cash cow of cops everywhere?
Here’s my Thrilled to See You Thursday edition of #TouchPews, from the midweek Eucharist at my church today. ⚓️
Hi Narthex (and CoE) friends! Just wanted to share some pics from our Pride Eucharist and parade in Albuquerque this weekend. We had a packed house at the service and it was wonderful to walk in the parade with many fellow Episcopalians. My heart is full! Thanks be to God! ⚓️✝️
We had a nice Rogation Day service today. Started with a Litany for the Planet, great hymns (including “All Creatures of our God and King”), good sermon by our assistant rector, and we all enjoyed the spectacular floral arrangements (see the pics)! ⚓️
Not too surprised that I was judged basically orthodox. But I am a bit surprised that PCUSA and UCC are above TEC in my results.
Happy Easter to you all! We ended our Holy Week at my church with wonderful Vigil services last night and our Easter morning service today! Christ is risen! Alleluia! ⚓️
