This *absolutely fucking sucks* to post, but I'm doing what I can ❤️‍🩹 TL;DR: My employer denied my accommodations & gave me no choice but to go on an unexpected leave, which impacts my finances hard. If you have the ability to & are comfortable, I'd appreciate it if y'all could donate something 🙏

Huge ass wall of text explaining what's going on; highlights:

"I'm Myr, I'm 29 and I was recently denied accommodations needed to perform my job. Instead, my work place "gave me the choice" to accept a 2-3 week leave to replace it. Because of the nature of the situation I am in (either take the leave right now, or continue to try and force my body to work 40 hour work weeks, which I haven't been able to complete for months now), I had to take the leave while my PCP advocates for my accommodations under the ADA. The day after my accommodations were rejected was the day I had to make the decision to go on leave, as said decision was on a time crunch. So going on leave was abrupt and unplanned, hitting my spouse & I financially.

Whatever is going on with my health is disabling & significant enough to disrupt my work & personal life. It causes orthostatic intolerance & hypotension, and finding the cause of it is difficult & time-consuming; it's not something that's easily diagnosed and can come from different sources. What I've been advocating for is a reduced schedule, which would allow me to pace & create some more stability with my energy & income, but I'm doing what I can to work with my employer with this. This entire months-long battle has become a chaotic rollercoaster managing my symptoms, inconsistent income and work schedule, and mental health strain I cannot begin to describe.

This is where y'all come in! If you're able to throw anything our way- literally anything & everything helps right now, as it'll all go to our bills & living expenses while we do our best to get through these next weeks and I hopefully get the accommodations needed in order to excel in my work place. I don't know what will happen as technically the only approved "accommodation" is the leave I'm currently on, but I'm in constant communication with all parties involved and hope for the best.

Context:

Firmly, with his free hand, Sturm slid a gentle hand onto Aysel’s chin and tilted their head up so they couldn’t look away.

Their heart nearly dropped out of their chest. Without thinking Aysel immediately grabbed his hand in theirs and wrestled with it, trying to free themselves from his grasp, but there honestly wasn’t any point– his grasp was gentle but too strong. Extremely stubborn, Aysel tore their eyes away from Sturm’s, refusing to meet his again and scowling deeply. They looked off to the side instead. It took all of their willpower to not react as Sturm pulled their face in closer to his, his piercing stare demanding all of their attention. Despite the mess they were quickly becoming, Aysel tried to ignore it in this battle of right vs. wrong.

(If you really want to be a little goblin and stare at me like that, like you’re not in the wrong— I’ll make sure you continue to stare, then), Sturm thought to himself, fuming. He was beyond pissed off for so many reasons– how much time it took to hear about this, the reason why it took so much time, how he could’ve ended up with just that information, a dead healer and only questions in the end– but it seemed he was seeing too much red. He wasn’t really thinking about what he was doing.

“Say it again if you really mean it,” Sturm said softly.

Context:

“Look at me,” Sturm ordered. “I said I wanted your honesty and the truth. I am asking you to say it. I want to hear it.” Although he was making demands of his healer right now— to prove he was right in this cat and mouse game— he actually did want to hear it. He wanted the reassurance. He wanted to hear them say I love you.

Aysel pouted. They huffed, their words lost to them. Sturm narrowed his gaze. “After all you put me through… I deserve your honesty. Not because the stars told you to, but because you wanted to tell me. So tell me.”

(Please say I love you again).

Aysel’s head became dizzy; they couldn’t handle Sturm’s overwhelming presence anymore. They sighed. Aysel gave in. Slowly, they met the tall Elezen’s demanding gaze, their expression flustered but full of softness. Their cheeks and across the bridge of their nose glowed a very bright red.
(Gods, this is so fucking embarrassing), Aysel thought.

“...I love you, Sturm,” Aysel professed quietly. Their grip on his hand softened.

Context:

“You wanted my honesty and the truth….” Aysel said softly, tracing very soft fingertips on his cheek. “…The truth really is what I came here to tell you– what you made me confess. And it made me do stupid fucking things, but you always make me do that anyway.”

(Fffuuuccckkk), was all Sturm could think. He had literally asked for this and now it was quickly undoing him.

“Will you tell me something, Sturm?” They mumbled, their voice breathless.

Sturm couldn’t handle it anymore; he couldn’t keep up his charade forever. (He also couldn’t handle how obviously Aysel was struggling with the height difference; it was so adorable it was driving him mad). With very unsteady hands, he ever so carefully bent over and wrapped his arms around Aysel’s waist, as if he, too, was asking permission, and pulled them in gently against him. Aysel hummed in approval, (they now could also finally wrap their arms around his neck because he was low enough) causing his already-racing heart to skip another beat.
He slowly shifted his gaze to finally, -finally- meet Aysel’s, although very shyly. His head swam and he couldn’t find a single coherent thought; he kind of gave up on that a long, long time ago.

“What do you want now?” He whined, his voice strained. “Gods, you’re going to be the death of me…”

Aysel smiled softly. “…Will you also be honest with me, too?” they asked timidly, barely audible.

(Godsdamnit, this is fucking embarssing), Sturm cursed in his head.

He sighed heavily. He leaned down further and gently pressed his forehead to theirs. He could feel his face turn several shades of deeper red (was that even possible at this point?). His heart furiously pounding, he slowly breathed in and out, trying to gather his courage.

“I… I love you too, little goblin,” he professed.

They don’t know who started it, but soon after the words left his mouth their lips were softly pressed against one another. They both could finally say everything they had kept in their hearts without saying a single word. They don’t know how much time passed- could’ve been seconds, could’ve been minutes, but when they broke apart they were both dizzy and breathless. Both took a moment to catch their breath.

I wrote a cute small blip about Jack (Aysel & Sturm's son) as a baby & how he'd be near-impossible to soothe during the night. Sturm's fishing rambles, however, were somehow able to lull him to sleep lmfao 🎣 #TwoOfSpears

TEXT:
"You're so well-behaved up until bedtime... Do you have insomnia, too?" Sturm murmured. The fussy baby Viera's ears twitched a couple of times. "You're quite lucky the both of us can't sleep most nights. I can teach you about fish, if you'd like."
Aysel chuckled and shook their head. “Of course you’d talk to him about fishing.”
Sturm glanced up at Aysel. “He'll be a good listener, I'm sure of it.” Jack’s ears moved again; he turned his head toward Sturm’s chest, his wriggling slowly coming to a stop.
Aysel blinked in surprise. “… No fucking way. What did you do?”
Sturm raised his eyebrows and looked down at the baby in his arms, who was noticeably less energetic than before. He shrugged. “… I mentioned fish? Maybe he likes fish?” Jack’s ears wiggled once more. His cries became softer as he hid his face further into his father’s chest, one of his ears pressing against his body.
Aysel’s eyes widened. “Holy shit… Sturm, say something else.”
“Uhhhh,” he racked his brain for something. “There’s two types of fishing, one with a spear and another with a rod. I like both, as both have their advantages-“
Suddenly, the room fell quiet as Jack only sniffled and hiccuped. He opened his eyes a little, blinking sleepily. Both parents stared in awe. “He… Likes fishing…?” He mumbled in amazement.
Aysel shook their head quickly. “No no no- it’s your voice, he likes your voice,” they said excitedly, smiling a little.
“My voice?” Sturm furrowed his brow in confusion.
“Yeah- the vibrations in your chest must be soothing to his ears. It’s calming to him. I bet if you talk to him some more, he’ll fall asleep.”
Sturm looked back and forth between his partner and his son. “… He finds me calming?”
