Sorry I’m still thinking abt the EN translation announcement for Mitsuya-sensei and how the original JP version it was one the first manga I bought after getting my big boy job 🥺🥺
Kokuho (2025) I don't know if I can accurately describe how beautiful this movie is. The movie played with time and symmetry, and how so many events within the parallel each other within the film. I honestly can't cohesively portray my thoughts within this small paragraph. but like holy shit, man.
7. Thrice Married to a Salted Fish, Vol. 2 Gah!!!! I love how messy Lin Qingyu is so much. This series has really made me come around on court dramas bc it's such an entertaining read.
8. Silent Reading, Vol. 1 Ooo, this one was really fun to read! This is my first priest novel and it didn't disappoint. The prose were vivid, the mystery was intriguing, and Lou Wenzhou & Fei Du's personalities and relationship keep me engrossed.
6. Mushishi (Omni), Vol. 1 This is my first time reading the manga, since I've only watched them anime. I absolutely love the world building and be immersed in how the world operates without anthropomorphizing the mushi or explaining everything
5. Chosen Home (2025) 4/5 This one keep hitting me in the heart so bad, man 😭 I loved everyone in this show and keep rooting for their happiness. Gahhhh I love found family so muchhhh!!!!!!!!
4. Little Mushroom (manhua) Vol. 1 & 2 3/5 I like the world building and story so far. the art is superb. the main relationship hasn’t started yet but I’m excited to see where it goes. Also I plan on reading the move when it comes out
3. The Century of the Self (2002) 4/5 Really interesting documentary! Highlights how the field psychoanalysis aided in creating our broken political system and hyper consumerists culture
2. Sleeping on Paper Boats, Vol. 2 4.5/5 HOLY SHIT THIS MANGA IS GOOD!! the prose that Yatsuda writes are accumulate and enhance thekitahara's inner world so much by putting you the the mind of a screenwriter. the plot also still has me thinking abt all the subtle imagery and detail
1. Hetakuso Love Step 3.5/5 i wanted to read more works by yoriko, picked this one on a whim. i honestly like it a lot. the premises is pretty generic (to me) but i love both kotarou and yoshino so much it keep me reading. especially kota; he's so moe and his expression are adorable!!!
