One from the archives... Bit of my indoor 1/13.5 scale (7/8ths) model railway.
Remembered to take a snap of the Blackbird on his favourite singing perch...
This was in the replies to an article on David Hockney. You couldn't find a more stark reminder of the type of follower Reform attracts🤷. And yes I checked the account and it was exactly as you would expect... All flags and rubbish.
Forgive the next few weeks folks. The beautiful game will be prominent on my account⚽
Digital doodle of the 2024/5 Yellow Warbler in Kent. Perched on the Sewage Treatment Works machinery. #birds #UKbirding #birdart
Realised I never posted this one from a good while ago! I did the front cover for the 2021 Filey Bird Report.
Crappy video still with LRP at Ogston a very long time ago😂 Bear in mind the foreshortening effect on the Tern and there isn’t much difference!
One from the SBSG New Birds of the Sheffield Area. The famous Marmora's Warbler...
Spotted Crake from a couple of years back. Front cover for a local bird club.
Forgot to post this blast from the past. The Citril Finch at Burnham Overy Dunes on 10th May 2015. #birds #UKbirding
Leaning out of my window listening to my Blackbird and this little group of plants caught my eye. I love the different textures.
Long ago now. Video grabs of an Audouins Gull at Dungeness on the 5th May 2003. The first for UK. #birds #UKbirding
Finally remembered to photograph the sketches of the Speke Hall Great-tailed Grackle! As usual with Great-tailed Grackles it looked completely deranged 😂 #UKbirding #birds #birdart #sciart
Day late but here’s a video still of an Ashy-headed Wagtail at Ogston Reservoir in Derbyshire on the 16th April 2005. When the finder submitted it, it was found to be the 7th record for the UK. I was lucky to catch up with it just before it flew off high in the late evening.
Missed the day, but here’s a rather ropy video grab of the Ashy-headed Wagtail at Ogston in Derbyshire.
Slightly changed version of the Willow/Chiff ID page I showed a while ago.
Sketches of the Hooded Merganser at Alvecote Pools. #UKbirding #birds #birdart #sciart
Got my copy of The New Birds of the Sheffield Area a few days ago. It’s seriously good. I can see I am going to lose hours😉 Gratuitous photo of one of the illustrations I did for it too. #Birds #UKbirding #sciart
We have a major problem with a percentage of people in our society. Well over a thousand laughing emojis when I took this screenshot and the comments were vile.
He's completely insane. This is absolutely beyond the pale. That a US President writes a screed with this expletive language in it, vows to commit war crimes and then throws in casual blasphemy at the end is despicable and horrifying.
Right #UKBirders #birds #sciart. corrected and checked again (hopefully) crib sheet for spring Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff.
#UKbirders folks, I have been putting together this crib sheet for newer Birders on separating Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff. Has anyone got any comments on what I have written? Calls and song not on this as its for visual stuff.
This one is 10 years in😂... And I have to take the cab roof off now😞 I keep putting it off tbh.
Bit of fun with #procreate on the iPad. The Liverpool Great-tailed Grackle from when I saw it a while back.
