I got a PhD and somehow I ended up live streaming Dark Souls. Living the dream in west London. He/him and Welsh. (Profile pic is my black cat.)
I’ve gone on holiday (on purpose!) so here’s a view of the sunset over Camber Sands on the south coast. The wind is very strong here, and I got *really* cold taking this shot. I haven’t been cold since April.
Tonight I had the incredible privilege of seeing both Ravi Coltrane and Terence Blanchard play. Colossi of jazz. And the rest of the band were incredible too. I wish I’d broken the rules and grabbed some video.
I’m flattered but… hmm, I dunno if I can live up to that. Also I’m not as much of a Luddite as this implies. britmonkey.com/2020s-politi...
We don't often see each others headers. Here's mine. This is a misericord in the Oude Kirk, Amsterdam. Misericords (a word autocorrect refuses to believe exists) are carved designs placed under the seats in a church. Quote post with yours.
Fucksake. What is so difficult about just hovering around 25°C all the time?
And, sadly, this comes the day after another jazz giant, Sonny Rollins - who played with Miles - has died. RIP, one of the very greatest.
I speak my father’s RP all the time, except that I cannot avoid my mother’s Welsh accent when saying the name of former Welsh rugby captain Alun Wyn Jones. It feels like a sin to say it any other way.
It’s May. This is not acceptable in May. I live in London, not fucking Miami.
Both the US- and UK-centric quizzes have me as a social democrat, so I’m not sure if that means I’d be a SD in both countries or if the term is too vague.
Seems about right for me. Apparently I’m Nelson Mandela. I call that a win.
Spending a day at a trade fair. Joined the lanyard class for 24 hours. (Reposted with alt text this time, not that it helps much.)
Without stating your age, post your favourite film released the year you turned 18.
I finally did the german.millermanschool.com test and… yep, pretty much as I expected. Especially given I got a bit stressed that some of the questions seemed ambiguous.
Look at this utter dogshit reporting by BBC Scotland political correspondent Phil Sim. Proud of yourself, Phil?
Brother and sister. Nine years old today. Middle-aged, but still babies. #Caturday
I propose that we keep everyone happy by merging the statesman and wildlife categories, and place former Idaho governor Butch Otter on the ten pound note.
No cheating, your last saved pic of a celebrity is your therapist. (Not complaining.)
