Father, son, husband, artist, author, researcher, cinema & comics historian, and former instructor (retired),
Back cover for the forthcoming CRYPTID CINEMA™ filmography volume Tim Paxton, Jolyon Yates, and I have been laboring on for over 2 years now. Tim delivered chapter PDFs this past month, still a few to go before we put it all to bed!
Front cover for yet another in-the-works POD book project. Drawing (b&w) by me, colors by Mark Masztal, and it's gonna be a first volume in a planned series.
Back cover for a planned POD project. Still on the fence about this volume, this project, but I'd best put it out into the world regardless of my own reservations...
Our patience is about run out with the whole mangy, malicious, mongrel pack of you motherfuckers, Karo-liar.
"What's in the box??" [Brad Pitt, SE7EN] TYRANT® update! THIS is what's in the box— —signature plates, thousands of 'em for me to sign this week for the ORIGINAL ART EDITION and THE COMPLETE EDITION. We're still hard at work on getting these printed, folks!
Sally & Leatherface, ©2018, 2026 Stephen R. Bissette, and don't you fergit it.
Test yourself. PS: I don't think Marcia will be able to unzip those pants in the first place, much less get them off.
NEW WORK: Nope, can't tell ya yet what it's for, but some of ya might figger it out.
America's first Bigfoot (& Swamp Thing) movie! I finally scored this one-sheet for my Cryptid Cinema™ collection. Already had the 'B' version (sans Sleepy LaBeef's 'Swamp Thing') & a set of Mexican release lobby cards (highlighting the sin & strippers).
If you're wondering why I don't post photos any longer from my morning walks and such, well—fuck you, too, yahoo.
When our beloved son Danny drove at the initial height of COVID pandemic from CA to VT (got home in time for Easter), this was the cheapest gas fill-up he experienced. Just to remind everyone...
Most recent theater visits: loved SUPERGIRL, 'eh' DISCLOSURE DAY (hits every UFOlogical base, tho), surprised at enjoying MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, bored shitless by SCARY MOVIE (only good stretch: K-Pop parody, which was hilarious, but enough already with satirizing witless SCREAM sequels).
SUNDAYS #1 showcased initial publication of the 1st version (revised the final text & panel for the later reprint) of this final (to date) published TYRANT® original comic by me. If you collect my work, SUNDAYS is an essential artifact—but the strip is included in the Kickstarter volume(s), see link
1982, Wilmington, VT, preemptively castrating a planned KKK rally. How different, 2026, our 250th anniversary as a nation, as "Patriot Front" White Supremacists marched on Washington, D.C. Who the fuck ARE these people? Hiding behind their white masks, flying Confederate flags...
July 5th, reading morning news. Feeling like the goons of THE GAMMA PEOPLE took over Washington, D.C. yesterday ("Patriot Front" Nazi march)...
Double-bill at the Astor popped up at the St. Albans Drive-In in St. Albans, VT the summer of my high school graduation. Having seen Paul Bartel's SECRET CINEMA at a UVM underground film fest, 3 SECRET CINEMA-lovin' pals & I made the trip north & wallowed thru 1st feature to savor PRIVATE PARTS!
Because of fucking course he fucking did. Happy 250th, Amerika! Happy 4th of July!!
Somehow, this sums up everything about our 250th, doesn't it? Hey, HAPPY 4th of JULY, anyhow, everyone!
Decades ago, I designed, wrote, penciled this for DC Comics; inks by John Totleben, letters by John Costanza, colors by Tatjana Wood. It was assigned & completed on super-short notice; "can you summarize all you guys have done & are planning?" was the job.
