Spotted a nice VW Beetle yesterday morning and am having a bit of a Mandela effect moment with respect to the emblem on the hood. Was this the usual symbol for this style of Beetle? Preliminary googling suggests it was used in the late 50s and early 60s for Bugs made in Wolfsburg

Another good find today - nice BCTF pin with the logo forming a stylized “lamp of learning” (a common motif for the BCTF and teachers’ unions generally). Also mid-80s, I think?

Lozenge shaped, lapel sized union pin with the letters BCTF in lower case. The long stroke on the F is shaped to resemble a genie’s lamp, with a flame emerging from the spout.

👎 A province cannot "tax billionaires out of existence". Best we can do is tax them out of the province. That could be worthwhile (levelling down can be okay!) but it would raise no provincial revenue for equality-promoting public services or redistribution. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
