Almost all of this is wrong 😑 The USPS is operating at a loss. But there ISN’T any cushion or subsidy built into the federal budget for it. If USPS needs a financial injection it has to REQUEST financial aid from the government.

I see there’s USPS discourse happening again & I just want to make sure everyone understands that no tax payer money goes to USPS. It is required by the Constitution, but it is also required to be completely self-funding. So it doesn’t need to make a profit, but it sure as shit needs to break even.
