Went to a small book con and saw a @tenebrouspress.bsky.social setup I didn't expect! Naturally I bought some books: OLYOKE by Vincent Endwell; MOUTH by Joshua Hall; and POSTHASTE MANOR by Jolie Toomajan and @carsonwinter.bsky.social. Plus swag! #booksky #amreading

The second is MOPUTH by Joshua Hall. It's go this great TALES FROM THE CRYPT vibe, with a barn on the top left, an old man looking through a video camera on the top right, another good old boy beneath him, wearing a hat that says DR. The title sits in what looks like a spiraling staircase, but instead of stairs, it's teeth. On the bottom is a line of VHS tapes.

POSTHASTE MANOR by Jolie Toomajan and Carson Winter is on the right. It features a dog's (?) head with no eyes looming over a house. That dog might not be the best pet to have around. But I don't know yet, I haven't read the book.

Awesome piece of art by Stina Marie. There's this figure draped in black with only two white eyes visible on the face. It also has super long grayish hair down to the floor. Behind it is gray wall where a creepy ass painting hangs that is open for interpretation. I see a figure in white with super olong legs, wings, and it's tilting to the left.

What makes this so unnerving is sun (or a bright light) is lighting up this room. It makes it more unsettling seeing this sort of thing in the light. Like, you see it in the dark, it ends up being a blanket draped over a chair. See it in some bright ass light? Yeah, you're fucked.
