I really love the design of this elf sorcerer, but adding the magic spell effect back in post-painting scraped up some of the main dude’s paint. So there will need to be some touch-ups once I’m sure the super glue has dried. #ttrpg #dnd #dungeonsanddragons
Ditto for these guys. The tabaxi rogue was a super simple job where I let the bulk oil do most of the work. Mr. 2-axes was much trickier. A lot of detail and different shapes in awkward positioning. Not entirely happy with him, but he’ll do. Trying to get better about just letting them “good enough”
This dwarf and monk have been camping out in my “to be finished” box for awhile so I knocked them out too. Still need to do a little something to spruce up their bases.
Went on a bit of a #minipainting spree this afternoon, starting with this lady. She’ll be the centerpiece of a #ConantheBarbarin inspired picture-frame diorama I’ve been planning. Just need to buy a small chain for her wrists, since she came shackle-less!
Took me way too long and the solution was embarrassingly easy, but I now have #DOS games running on my AYN Thor. Oh the possibilities… 🤤 #retrogames
Got meet Claudia Christian and Bruce Boxleitner today! My little #Babylon5 nerd heart is still smiling.
The face of a little girl who desperately wants to catch a bug on the ceiling that none of us can reach for her. Her sad “meooooooows” have been the soundtrack of my morning. #cats
Achieved a minor long term goal and finished #FireEmblem Genealogy of the Holy War. I can remember about it ages ago in the Epic Center feature in #NintendoPower. I used to draw the copies of the character art they printed when I was a kid.
"Can I use Fire Bolt to perform non-lethal damage?" Favorite quote from last night's #DnD one-shot! And the answer was "No, Mr. Combat Wizard. It's fire." 😆
Finished a Tabaxi Rogue! I had been hoping to make it an orange and white cat, but the white wasn’t looking good. #ttrpg #minipainting #dnd
“You thought this bag was for leftover gift wrapping supplies?! Fool! Tis’ a cat bed! Meow mwa hahaha!” #cats
Done! Been working for the past couple weeks to repurpose my gold Ocarina of Time cartridge into a small-scale art piece. It’s not perfect, but I’m happy with the results. Made primarily w/ a cheap shadow box frame, XPS foam, and acrylic paint. #zelda #n64 #ocarinaoftime #retrogames #nintendo
I’ve spent the last couple weeks slowly piecing together a custom display thingamajig for one of my favorite games. We’ve moved to the painting phase! #retrogames
His Carrion Crawler companion will be ready to join him once some resin cures. Side note: i had a surprisingly hard time painting up the CC. Not entirely happy with it, but had definitely reached the point of diminishing returns for the work I was putting in. Decided to just let it be done.
This Minotaur is ready to smash some maze explorers in my next #ttrpg game! White Box first, then a #Dnd one-shot later this month. 😁 #minipainting #rpgs #dungeonmaster
So what I did was buy a cheap spider toy from an evil corporation and paint it up in the style of smaller “giant” spiders I did a few years back. Very happy with how my “Queen Spider” turned out. (Finished spider on the left with a smaller coworker. Original on right)
I’m not saying my next my next #DnD game will involve giant spiders… but I’m also NOT saying it won’t. #ttrpg #minipainting
Albert, the similarly one-eyed cat, agrees with your assessment of perfection. 😉
Unless something drastic happens to this while the paint dries, I’m pretty pleased with how this Mind Flayer turned out! #ttrpg #dnd #minipainting
Two more completed wizards for the collection! Relatively simple paint jobs for these! Have to save my strength for the giant spider that’s in its way. #ttrpg #minipainting #dnd
