Finally been repaid for the Nearly victories recently by getting a "haha cards go brrrrr" run
27. Zero Parades: For Dead Spies (2026): This is definitely a 9 to Disco Elysium's 10 but that just means it's still really damn good. Wish leadership would resolve things by handing rights to DE over to the ousted creatives because the remaining ZA/UM deserve to not have that around their neck.
26. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide (2022): Not really a Warhammer person but played with friends. It is Fine for me, it is not really what I'm looking for out of one of these L4D-like/horde shooters.
25. Frog Sqwad (2026): Quickfire round because I was lazy for a few multiplayer games. Good variation on the quota filler with some physics/momentum based looting stages. Great music throughout as well.
The initial crew for Karia looks good, Frankenstein's Nerd and cool looking Punch Woman. And Karia changing form by eating things is great.
I don't really have an overrated aside from whenever someone says "yeah, not having physical/special yet and all the other things that would be changed in future is a positive for the early games" And USUM gets overhated because the story change is okay as is the opening grids.fun/t/pokemon-ma...
24. 007 First Light (2026): Fantastic time, whatever issues I had can either be addressed in another game or just don't really matter that much. Felt very much like a Bond movie stretched out while still not overstaying in the story and having Escalation Missions/challenges to extend playtime.
While I'm complaining, whoever is in charge at Twitch is a fucking idiot, what do you mean you don't full screen anymore and have dumbass points redeems on screen at all times
None of these are final (especially last two, I couldn't settle on something) but since I am essentially going "Oh boy, 8 cakes" at the selection screen, does anyone wanna help send me in a particular direction
Nice topknot, asshole. Messing about in the character creator because I can't make up my mind. Also why don't the other races have some of these hairstyles, stop being cowards
23. Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin (2015): Evil game. Still a Dark Souls but an evil game nonetheless.
Saw this a couple days ago and took a couple liberties at the end because I didn't like the final row.
22. Mortal Kombat 2 (2026): This is not a masterpiece but does a lot better at being a Mortal Kombat in movie form than the previous one. Karl as Johnny is a fun time. I can only hope the Street Fighter movie manages to clear this moderately low bar too.
21. Dark Souls Remastered Archipelago Randomizer: Went overboard and got 100% clearance in Dark Souls Remastered archipelago that was linked to another DS1, a DS2 and a DS3. Getting Manus in the Undead Asylum but also Manus and Artorias in the Ornstein and Smough fight was evil work.
20. Project Hail Mary (2026): I have one constant and it is that that Ryan Gosling guy is in some good movies.
19. Dark Souls Remastered (2011/2018): Inspired by the archipelago with friends playing DS1/DS3, I bought the trilogy on PC finally and went into DS1. Proceeded to get Black Knight Halberd first try and enjoyed a mostly leisurely run refamiliarising with Lordran. Great game. Should make more.
18. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (2001) - Randomiser Run: Great time, learned how to superbounce and 1st timed door skip in Pyramid Cave purely from memory of watching speedrunners do it. Despite the camera being an intangible enemy, still one of the best to ever do it.
I'm starting to see what's up with Hardin in New Mystery of the Emblem
17. Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (2008) Good game, they should make more of these. For real though, had a great time with the first entry's third version. Gonna start New Mystery pretty soon to see if they explain why Nyna just went "you'll do" to Hardin.
I'm creating an unkillable monster for the final stretch of Shadow Dragon
Latest Defect run was kind of wild, got the + Focus and + Orb Slot relics really early, automatic attack upgrades, energy retention, extra energy, a bunch of Power synergies and then in the last Act, the option to trim down my deck for an extra 9 max HP - which is a ridiculous ability to have imo
In better news, I made a very responsible purchase to further the Chinese century of prosperity (it was the best reviewed one)
