One thing I like about Rise is that there are many ways to make the hunt easier on yourself such as using a Stinkmink or Puppet Spider to manipulate other monster in the area to ... ahem ... help you take down your target.
And despite the fact that you could easily go into the fight with a full Lagombi set if you wish, I decided to recreate heyZeusHeresToast's experience which means all Kamura gear and Charge Blade which is a weapon I'm not good at. I prefer Sword and Shield, Gunlance, Insect Glaive and Hunting Horn.
It bugged me so much that I decided to put it to the test. I created a new hunter and quested enough until the quest to hunt a Khezu was available which is a 3 star quest. To get to this point you need to have hunted a Great Izuchi and an Aknosom and enough other monsters to craft some decent gear.

300 is nothing if not a more or less faithful adaptation of the Frank Miller comic book of the same name which was inspired by a movie about the Battle of Thermopylae. So obviously something was lost in translation but it certainly didn't come from Snyder.

Oh, I apologize for the lack of quality in that first image. It's a scan from the book Cartoon Confidential by Jim Korkis and John Cawley. But I remember Robert Hill once posted a cell from the lost Kissyfur short on his old FA and I saved it. He had connections with folks in the animation industry.
Kissyfur the show that we got was kinda cutesy but bland. I saw it because it was broadcast on AFN. Apparently the original intent was to be more Looney Tunes/Tex Avery inspired such as this shot from an early unfinished short where Kissyfur dresses as a sexy queen bee to distract bees to get honey.
What's something originally not created to be creepy but absolutely is? I'll give an example. Those photos of dogs photoshopped with human teeth, mostly to put on the packaging of dog treats meant to encourage oral hygiene in dogs.
I wasn't going to add any new Miis to the island, but I decided to add one more very special one as a tribute given the recent news.

When I played the demo of TL:LTD, the first Mii I created was Astalor Bloodsworn. I held off on recreating him in my current playthrough because I wanted to start fresh, but I figured it was time to re-add him, using what I know now about Mii creation. Left: demo version. I learned that Two-Tone Dearly passed away. She was hospitalized in September (hence her odd radio silence) and her condition only worsened from there. She died from renal failure on April 25. Her brother relayed this info to me. Rest in peace, Two-Tone. I hope you're playing in Heaven's nursery.
I've been seeing adverts for an upcoming comedy film called The Breadwinner which irks me a bit because there was already a 2017 film by Cartoon Saloon called The Breadwinner based on a 2001 novel of the same name and it's honestly one of the most powerful animated films I've ever seen.
I think my only major complaint about making Miis in Tomodachi Life is the lack of heterochromia options. Especially as it becomes a problem if you want to add a Mii based on a character with heterochromia.
