This is the balloon/sonde in question. Smaller than the one the NWS uses and it didn’t go as high, but it did get about 4200 meters at least - think it got higher but i gotta check. It was SO cool!!!

So i went to my state's #standupforscience protest. I wasn't planning on speaking OR anything else but...ended up scribbling something together and speaking to everyone in support for our federal workers and NOAA in particular as well, heh....But I would have regretted it if I didn't speak up.

Went storm chasing this morning. Was very close to part of a cell that *really really wanted* to spin up by accident (missed it when i was finding a place to park). You can see the top two hooks trying easily but the attempt a bit further down I didn't see till after I parked, whoops.

Here's my submission for #39arcane! This is probably the most I've spent on a piece of art, but I do love Arcane a lot so....worth it. Sort of meant to tell a bit of a story...there's a hat right in the middle of the two at the bottom that tells the begining.

This *might* be the end of a funnel cloud from this morning. It's not the best zoom but timing and radar from the time seems to match.....might have gotten my first funnel as it dissipated? #skywx #wxsky #tornado (maybe).

Speaking of #Mesonet stuff...my truck's tire blew on the way back Thursday from my sites that day. I had one more I was gonna do (and had decided to push to Thursday morning since it was close to home base before the tire blew), but that site is obv gonna wait till after Christmas to get done, lol.

Hot chocolate obtained. One awesome thing about living in my own apartment is that I can have my pride flags out and visible, and no one can get weird about them. #trans #asexual #queer
