Really enjoyed the Impact books. This one was particularly fun. In addition to the incredible artwork of Mike Parobeck, it was graced by the wonderful writing of Len Strazewski. They were also an exceptional pairing on the '90s Justice Society book.

Justice Society of America #! (1992). The Atom (Al Pratt), Hawkgirl, Hawkman, Starman (Ted Knight), Wildcat, Dr. Mid-Night, the Flash (Jay Garrick), Sandman (Wesley Dodds), Hourman (Rick Tyler), and the Green Lantern (Alan Scott) battle a giant Earth monster in a baseball stadium.

Today I have discovered that photo luminescent (glow-in-the-dark) tape extension exists. Think I'll have to get some to make all my black plastic remotes easier to find when they "disappear" on dark surfaces.

That time I met Felicia Day at Cincinnati Comic Expo. I was so tongue-tied (unusual for me) that I made a point to swing by her table later to prove I could speak, rather than just grunt inarticulately.

Happy Star Wars Debut Day! (And, no, young 'uns, it was not Episode IV: A New Hope upon initial release.) Sadly, wasn't in the theater opening day, but saw it several times during the first run. Also read part of the novelization serialized in the Detroit News *before* the movie opened.

Captain America. At the time, titled "Captain America and the Falcon."

Captain America stands in a metallic raft-shaped escape vessel attacked to the burning S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. He's defending himself from the Falcon, who has been turned to living stone by the Grey Gargolye. In the raft with Cap are Nick Fury and Sharon Carter, both turned to immobile stone statues by the Grey Gargolye. THe villain is gliding down towards a mountain. Gigantic double doors, made to look like the mountainside, are wide open, revealing a high-tech facility inside. There are also S.H.I.E.L.D. agents firing some sort of anti-aircraft cannons from the mountainside, trying to stop the Gargoyle's approach.
