1st saw this in the book "Cadillac Desert." Haunting, heartbreaking and historic. Tribal leader George Gillette reluctantly signs over 156k acres of land for Garrison Dam. Their hospital was flooded and the tribe went to Congress in 2003 to aske the US to fulfill its promise to build a new hospital.

I'm in a book club with author Joanne Gilbert, who is a wonderful human. Her book is important to the times we're living, and I found it inspiring: WOMEN OF VALOR: POLISH JEWISH RESISTERS TO THE THIRD REICH. Courage & resistance comes in many forms.

Met this author in my book club. She features successful Nazi resisters in her book WOMEN OF VALOR: Polish Resisters to the Third Reich. We talked about parallels in our current times & it gave me hope that resisters can make an impact & survive.

Added to my list to listen. I’ll start it tomorrow while putting away decorations. I love these types of podcast series. I’m also trying to find CIA contractor stories from the 70s & 80s. Ties to my uncles story and the files he left me.

Would this interest you? I’m finishing my memoir about my uncle and me, and his crimes, paramilitary activities etc. I want to appeal to women as much as men but the topic is more male dominated. Hoping to get the book out by spring. Then I’m writing feminist lit for fun.
