Thirty-four countries around the world have some sort of vote-by-mail system. Twelve countries, including Canada, Germany, New Zealand and South Korea, allow citizens to vote by mail. Like the United States, many of these countries invested in their vote-by-mail infrastructure in response to the pandemic in 2020, and many chose to maintain these vote-by-mail options in the years that followed.

I loved this book when I was a kitten:

The cover of a children's book called, "The Little House," by Virginia Lee Burton. It won't the Caldecott Medal in 1943 for it's pictures. A picturesque cottage, painted red with dark roofing is in between two flowering trees on a hill. There is a smiling sun, birds flying and daisies are edging the picture. There are two windows with white curtains that are on either side of the front door that look a bit like eyes while a curved front step looks a bit like a smile.
