🚍 Young people in Inverclyde have made over 4.5 million free bus journeys thanks to the under 22s bus pass scheme introduced by the @snp.org in early 2022. 👏 These free bus passes are a lifeline for many, helping young people access essential services, education, and employment.

🚨 A site has been agreed for a new police station in Greenock. 🚔 This new location will deliver a station that is modern fit for purpose. It will also include a custody suite. 👏 This is great news for Inverclyde and shows a massive investment in policing in our community.

📰 Here's my column from today's Greenock Telegraph covering the ongoing chaos within Westminster while households across the UK are struggling to make ends meet.

🏥 The Health Secretary has outlined investment in community health hubs, with Port Glasgow being earmarked as one of the areas for the first phase of investment in these new hubs. 👏 This is consistent with the Budget earlier this year, showing delivery on that commitment.

It's #ScotlandLovesLocal Week, so I visited Vino by Tonino in Gourock on Monday. Everyone loves Tony's 🍕 so I was delighted to hear his 🍷 bar is also a hit! Inverclyde has so many unique food and drink vendors, but we must all do our bit to support them if we want them to stay & thrive.

🚫 Whinhill Station should be step-free, but for several years now this path has been shut off. 🧑‍🦽‍➡️This is a huge issue for passengers with a mobility access issue, and the lack of engagement from @networkrail.bsky.social is not good enough.

🤝 The Scottish Government spent £6.8m to bring the Larkfield Unit into public hands - concluding a costly 25-year PPP/PFI agreement which the then Lab/Lib Dem coalition introduced. 👏 This will save NHSGGC £1.7m per year - providing the @snp.org commitment to Inverclyde's health care services.
