- small parts on my Bambu and I don't think you'd ever know this is 3d printed after painting and sealing. I'm hoping to get time to list the realistic cat base in my shop this weekend and these teeth will be an add on option. We will see how it goes! :)

The cat jawset has been coming along super well! They are 3d printed out of HT-PLA which has more of a matte finish than ABS and is closer to a resin look (I would still go for ABS in a flexible base but PLA in a PLA shell works great). I've been getting super smooth prints for -

The eyes cured and I love how they look! :D They are loosely taped in there right now so they may shift a little once I get them permanently glued in. I'm working on the painting the jawset now and can't wait to show those little details.

This is a long shot but has anyone ever seen this suit at a con? I made it 13 (!) years ago and it went to someone named Zinq in Iowa. I never saw it again so I'm just curious if it's still around :) Tried emailing them last year with no luck and their account on FA is disabled

I have been hard at work making parts for the cat base, and I'm finally getting some together that's post worthy. 😆 The base is printed in PLA+ with foaming TPU ears. I jumped the gun and glued the ears before I weighed the base by itself, but each ear is only 1 oz and the -

Figured out the size I want on the ears for the cat, and now I'm ironing out the jaw set. Final ears will be printed in foaming TPU. The hair and eyes will *not* be that color in the end, it's just a place holder. 😺

The first to scale prototype is assembled! Now I'm testing ear sizes - once that's figured out I'll get a final base printed with ear vents. :) Eyes are just a test, the final ones will be a different color.

I've been doing a lot of tests for the cat base shell and it's getting closer! These aren't the final eyes I'll be using, but they're a set I had on hand that are the exact same size with the same sclera to iris ratio. :) #fursuit

I've been working along on the new realistic cat base for my current commission. I'm now at the stage where I'm doing test prints of the shell to make sure the eyes fit, not too heavy, I can see well, etc. It's always hard to be patient at this point because -

This is a "first draft" of a realistic cat base I'm working on. I'm in the process of printing mini versions and making changes based on what I see once I'm holding it in my hands. Usually I go through 2 - 4 versions so I'm sure it'll look a bit different in the end. :) #fursuitfriday
