Thanks for this link. I composed my own letter to my MP using the site that is mentioned at the end of the video (www.TOrealitycheck.ca). However, only the button to write to you MP was active. Is this an error or is the material for these other buttons pending?
2/ While it costs money to store US wine/liquor (e.g. 8M in ON), US exports of same are still down by HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS. So, this ban still provides leverage that Carney had better not cave in on, without getting something v substantial in return (e.g. 232 tariffs). www.cbc.ca/news/busines...
1/ While there is a slight uptick in CDN car travel returning from the US in June 26, it is still down 29% last month compared to June 2024. www.cbc.ca/news/busines...

"Washington was within their rights to keep their U.S. Customs plaza closed tight. But that wouldn’t have stopped Carney from capitalizing on the summer tourist season by opening the bridge to U.S. vacationers & truckers looking to take Gordie Howe into Canada." 🎁link www.thestar.com/gift-redeem?...
Damning numbers for Ford. Only 4% strongly approve. 45% strongly disapprove & 27% moderately disapprove. The public has to push back hard to get Ford to flip on something worthwhile. Source, Angus Reid Jun 11/26 : angusreid.org/premiers-per...
Doug Ford now has the LOWEST approval rating of all CDN premiers at 21% (Angus Reid, Jun 11/26). His rating is down 10% from March '26 & is now at the lowest level in his 8 year term. Source: angusreid.org/premiers-per...
Oh boy. Greg Sorbara, former LIBERAL, ON Min Fin says jets at BB don't make economic or environ sense. He thinks 1) Toronto MPs are afraid to stand up to Carney & 2) it's a done deal. Aside: Carney appoints members of Toronto Port Authority. 5/7 seats are vacant. 🎁 www.thestar.com/gift-redeem?...
Reduced targets for tires or worse, no targets for general recycling (separate problem), favour businesses.
1/ What's going on with the Ford gov & FOIs? CP made a '22 FOI request re the new licence plates (that couldn't be seen in the dark). The privacy commissioner ruled x 2 that they should be released. The gov planned to seek a judicial ruling blocking their release. The gov will NOW RELEASE THEM.
Paul Wells weighs in on DS's 'leadership' and her AB referendum. He's not a fan ... Source: paulwells.substack.com/p/still-runn...
1/ Toronto council votes against referendum on BB jets. FECKLESS. Colle (NO): ..."would preoccupy the election". Me: GREAT. Public pressure is the only thing that works. Chernos Lin (NO): ..."appreciates the intent ... but bigger issue is transparency". Me: What?
Councillors Saxe & Matlow to bring a motion to council next wk for a referendum on BB jets. The prov has to APPROVE the referendum (they likely won't) but that sets up fed gov to object as feds have been adamant that Toronto residents HAVE to have a say. 🎁 Gift link: www.thestar.com/gift-redeem?...

Doug Ford has had the legislature meet through the night to impose his will on ON, too. Recently, to pass the omnibus bill with his FOI changes. Previously, to cut the size of Toronto council in half, during the election campaign.
Google provided this paragraph about the Don River and the Ontario Line (subway). I don't know anything about this.
Doug Ford was NOT in favour of the whimsical pink umbrellas (designed to last 25-30 years) at the very successful Sugar Beach Park. www.thestar.com/news/gta/cit...
Think it's also about getting it over with - so it's a done deal by next week when the legislature is not in session& he can shrug off any media questions about the controversial parts of the Omnibus bill.
Personally, I think he's now trying LYING (this was not Doug Ford's plane) as spin. Are other ministers afraid of turboprop planes (the King Air plane(s)) that the prov already owns and is available for gov travel? Doug Ford is afraid of it - why he rented private JETS or used the OPP jet!
Doug Ford does the same thing. We are all talking about his JET today, not the fact that his self-serving FOI changes could be passed into law as early as TOMORROW (Tues). Meanwhile, what's happening with the Skills Development Fund Scandal. We're not talking about that anymore, either.
How fortunate for Ford that his JET mea culpa is dominating the news cycle. Why? Because his self serving FOI changes, included in the omnibus budget bill, may be tabled TODAY & PASSED INTO LAW TOMORROW (Tues). It's a Trump-like move (both changing the news cycle & being unaccountable)
Yes, so I call Ford regularly & keep posting to encourage others to do so. I have no idea if I am shouting into the void... But here goes again 😁 If Ford retroactively changing FOI rules to HIDE his cell logs, Ryan Amato's greenbelt emails, etc. angers you Call Ford to let him know: 416 325-1941
Do you think Ford needs a 28.9M jet? (& needs jets at Toronto Isl airport?) Are you okay with him hiding embarrassing, or worse, info by changing FOI rules? Are you okay with Ford appointing vs you electing regional chairs? Ford criticizing judges? If not, call Ford 416 325-1941 (I just did).
I don't know anything about helium production (is it enironmentally harmful?) but Saskatchewan has significant helium resources that need policy and fed tax changes to grow to potentially 10% of world production. Sounds like something Carney should be priorizing vs. pipelines.
