Another day spent in a hospital, but I took some time to relax when I got back.
While we’re still waiting to see if Mitch McConnell is amongst the living, Lindsey Graham’s taken the down escalator. How’s Trump? Is there a trifecta coming?! Because, again, I got a new shirt 🤭
Every other World Cup, I root for England and Germany. But this time Scotland was in 😍; I was tickled. They’ve been knocked out, and I can’t bring myself to root for England. I was going for New Zealand but they’re out. So today, I’m rooting for Mexico. ¡Buena suerte, chicos! ¡Venzan a Inglaterra!
This juvenile red shouldered hawk cry babies all day, and treats my backyard like an all you can eat buffet. It’s killing my native birds, I haven’t seen Felix the squirrel in a while, and I’m worried about Eduardo and Mamacita, my resident California Deermouse population. 😡
A reporter for ABC News in LA was on Instagram giving an update on Jameson the Doodle’s death at the hands of the trigger happy LAPD. The reporter suddenly mentioned how much Jameson weighed. What? Why? I’ve tagged LAPD in every rant I’ve given on this topic, and this was no different:
Scotland, we all know you’re a welcoming country, well, we welcome the Tartan Army. What exceptional guests. ‘Mon, Alba, you’ve got this 🏴⚽️❤️
I came across pics of this old oil painting I’d done for someone who’d meant the world to me. It was 48”x12”. Too bad I didn’t take pics with higher resolution than this before it shipped. This resolution looks like a myopic pigeon painted it. The original was insanely good. It’s Del Mar (San Diego)
She weighs about 16 lbs. and comes to about your knees. She and her sister were strays surviving in a canyon. The shelter caught them. She’s a hoot. She weighs so much less than my other grandpuppy but absolutely bosses him around.
One of my grandpuppies has Doritos for ears and walks around like Dobby the House Elf. She’ll totter in and out of rooms like this. Here she is wanting to know where the hell I think I’m going.
Hegseth practicing his dance recital for Freedom 250. This effortless coordination is choreographed to “Tiptoe Through the Tulips.” 🎶🎼🎵
“Flower Fields” is a new canvas in my shop. It’s metallic acrylic paint and ink.
This is a commissioned oil, acrylic, and ink painting of a Hollywood Hills home. It’s the backyard, pool, their Frenchie, and a portion of the Hollywood Sign. It even glows in the dark to illuminate the sign, landscape lighting, pool, and floatie. I delivered it yesterday and it’s already hung! 🥰
Delivered a commissioned painting of the backyard of a Hollywood Hills home then did a bit of shopping and hanging out. The painting is already hung. It’s oil, acrylic, and ink. And it glows in the dark. I’ll post after this.
“The Florist’s Shop” is a small colorful painting that glitters in the light and glows in the dark. As always, it’s available in my Etsy shop.
And PBS got in on the action with a cheeky reply to NASA on May the Fourth.
Props to LAX and LHR for May the Fourth. Although the Brits were clever enough to cancel Alderaan’s flight.
“Sun Hawk” is a commissioned vintage watercolor of a sculpture from the Nuxalk Nation. This Indigenous mask was created by the late Glenn Tallio of the Nuxalk, and is housed in a museum. This watercolor of mine is available in digital format on my Etsy.
“Peaceful Jizo” is a serene scene with the Om symbol. The 健康 means health. I’ll be doing more of him.
Watching him cling to her finger to no avail. Seeing his face darken with humiliation. Sheer perfection. No notes. 😆
Really digging these metallic watercolors made with honey. This is my latest painting, “Watching Time Go By.”
It’s Earth Day, which is a good reminder to leave every beach cleaner than when you arrived.
