Scenes from my morning walk (there's a deer in the last one!)

What is 75 Hard?
75 Hard is a 75-day health and fitness plan focussed on mental toughness, created by motivational speaker, podcaster, author and supplement company owner Andy Frisella. Back in 2019, he described it as a ‘transformative mental toughness program’.

The 75 Hard Challenge rules
The 75 Hard Challenge is made up of six ‘non-negotiable rules’ which have to be completed for 75 days straight:

Stick to a diet, any diet
Absolutely no alcohol or cheat meals are allowed (it doesn’t specify what counts as a cheat meal)
Complete two 45-minute workouts per day (one of them has to be outside, no matter the weather)
Drink 4.5 litres of water each day
Take a daily progress photo
Read 10 pages of inspirational non-fiction each day

A couple years ago when I was hiking Hurricane Ridge, I passed a couple aunties wearing this like baseball cap style hat but with a much wider brim, and I became obsessed. Aunties know! And now I have finally joined the club.

I'd happily take one (it being my birthday month and all). I made mini cheesecakes today. These ones are headed for the fridge in a sec. We found ourselves with ≈ 50 individual cream cheese containers. So mini cheesecakes it is. Hope this lights up your feed as you light up everyone else's 💙

CW food I can't get this to look appealing, sorry, but I made a vegetarian shepherd's pie today. I had made a lentil-based pasta sauce that ended up being thick and stewy, and it didn't seem to go quite right with the pasta, so I used up the leftovers this way. It was a good choice!

Ours does. You can set it to heat up to a certain or cool to a certain temp. You can just tell it to keep the house a certain temp all the time and it'll do what it needs to. The guy installed it when he installed the heat pump last summer. American Standard is the brand. So far, no issues.

I went to a zine fest today! There was so much good stuff, but the only vendor whose work really spoke to me was this one. The extra cool thing was that masks were required 😎

A few zines from a vendor called entangled roots press. One zone is called sit crooked talk straight. There's another with Armenian proverbs. Then there's a collection of pins with messages of resistance, love, etc. my favorites are

cw food A while back I took some meh salad that came with takeout, added some tuna (when I was c r a v I n g tuna) and brown rice, and drizzled on the dressing that came with it. It tasted incredible. So I tried making a creamy dressing and replicating it. Not as good but a close second!

Y'all, I won a hat in a drawing at work. I took a survey about commute reduction where I mostly just ranted about how I'd love to take public transportation and/or ride my bike but there are zero reasonable options to do that. And I got a hat out of it!
