A day of close-to-home tourism. Rowing on the Mississippi then exploring Minnehaha Falls then eating at the Minneapolis staple Sea Salt, then riding surrey bicycles at Minnehaha Park, then a Saint Paul Saints game. I love Minnesota.
18 year old me losing her shit seeing Dashboard Confessional in the body of 40 year old me who just wanted to sit in the shade with a lemonade.
Music festival this weekend, so naturally I made myself an app that finds the Apple Music Essentials playlist for every artist on the lineup and combines them into one. Built entirely in @BitrigApp... from the code to the App Store screenshots to the App Review submission. 🚀
The name Minnesota comes from the Dakota "Mni Sóta Makoce," which means "sky-tinted water" or "the land where the water reflects the skies." Truth in naming tonight at Como Park.
I'm not proud of my country (quite the opposite.) But I am so, so proud of my state! And I love that our new state flag has become of symbol against fascism. So. It's a 4th of July manicure. But make it Minnesota flag colors.
Saturday Big Boat Day was a lot of fun! A nice, tight 32 SPM rowing port in an 8+ is just about my favorite way to spend a morning.
My god I love Minnesota. (Source: www.reddit.com/r/Minneapolis/...)
It's my bestie's birthday today and so we did our traditional OrangeTheory early morning birthday burn workout. Did I make Jell-O shots but with pre-workout and amino acids instead of alcohol for the occasion? I did.
I'm teaching some people how to spin this weekend and so I got my first ever spinning wheel out and oiled her up. Her name is "Kiwi." She's such an amazing old friend! And so tiny and easy to use compared with the wheel I default to today (whose name is "Elizabeth.")
My first WWDC as a third-party developer! Some highlights so far! I had an amazing time at the RevenueCat Bashcade connecting with friends and old coworkers! And it was such an honor to be asked to speak at the WWDCWomen Get Together Breakfast. I met such inspiring women!
I was so overwhelmed I took almost no photos. But today was simply the best 40th birthday I could have ever asked for! It started by having early morning pancakes alone with my book and ended with 30 friends and family helping me celebrate. How lucky am I!
The problem with 2026 is that you can't even eat a donut without feeling like you're being watched.
I guess I'll be switching from tabs to spaces for the foreseeable future.
I had too much caffeine and talked at length about my spinning wheels this weekend. Even though I usually save spinning for fall/winter, I felt like doing some today. (Sound on for the happy sounds of the spinning wheel.)
Them: "What did you do with your Saturday night?" Us: "Super normal things."
I'm not a ballistics type of person, but shooting the "apple cannon" at old demo derby cars and watching gnarly, misshapen apples explode was way more fun than I expected.
