I wish! At 2,400ft,the thermal inversion doesn't reach us during the high heat days.Gets colder in the winter as well. Here's 2 pictures of the 2023 winter which made the South Coast and island for 4 months, I expect this winter will also close hwy 1 north and south of us Lemon 2/23, Yard 1/23

I agree completely, we can't afford not to. Here in CA, I've almost finished doubling my garden with this 3rd plot. Gopher proofing now complete, tomorrow the soil (50% native, 50% compost) and olla system, plants/seeds by Wednsday.

8x8x8 ft raised bed garden plot after finishing gopher proof, soil, olla watering systems, plants go in next 2 days.

I live in a log cabin built in 1890 in the National Forest, we use steel wool as well, and hold the steel wool in with stainless steel gopher mesh or rat mesh covering the hole plus expanding filler foam works well, the rats can't chew through it.

I'm currently Libby listening to the Correspondents. I find it helpful to listen to factual stories about people who lived in the 30's and 40's to help me remember we will get through this authoritarian time.
