🐾 Hettie loves coming to work almost as much as she loves the treats she receives while she's there! A familiar face around the Aldrington Centre in Hove, Hettie has become a much-loved member of the CAMHS team and a source of comfort for young people and colleagues alike.
It's Cycle to Work Day! Our colleagues Pers and Nicola are getting involved - a great reminder that every journey made by bike can make a difference. Whether you've never cycled before or not ridden in a while, it's a day to get on a bike and experience the mental, physical and financial benefits.
🌟 "Sometimes simply having her nearby helps someone stay in the room, join a conversation or take part in an activity that would otherwise feel overwhelming." This International Assistance Dog Week, we're celebrating Hettie and the positive impact she has on young people across Brighton CAMHS.
🐾 Meet Hettie, a six-year-old therapy dog making a big difference to young people accessing CAMHS in Brighton. By providing comfort, companionship and a calming presence, Hettie helps young people feel more at ease during appointments and supports them on their mental health journey.
During Brighton Pride, the NHS provides on-site first aid and walk-in urgent care centres. Download the NHS App and call '111' for quick health advice - select the mental health option if you need help for a mental health crisis.
Coming to #BrightonPride today? Watch out for members of our LGBTQIA+ Staff Network marching alongside colleagues from NHS Surrey & Sussex and give them a cheer! However you're celebrating, we wish you a safe and joyful Pride. Take care of yourselves and each other.

The theme for this year's Mental Health Awareness week is Action, and in this video, Expert by Experience Dulcie talks about what that means to her. "To me, action means speaking up, questioning things, and trying to improve situations, whether that's for yourself or for other people."
