Some deceptive pricing going on. I picked up a 100 mL tube of Crest today for $1.79. I was going to buy the larger tube. The box was twice as long and the price was twice as much, but when I read the label I realized it was only 125 mL, not 200 mL. Ya gotta pay attention.

Here's the OAS clawback schedule for Canadian seniors. It's pretty generous considering how we're trying to free up money for defense.

For income years 2024, 2025, and 2026, the minimum income recovery threshold is $90,997, $93,454, and $95,323, respectively. The maximum income threshold for those same years is $148,451, $152,062, and $154,753 for Canadians aged 65 to 74. For those 75 and older, the Maximum income recovery threshold is $154,196, $157,923, and $160,696, respectively.

@caulfieldtim.bsky.social Have you seen the National Geographic sponsored posts on FB? They don't look like their typical content. I don't have a subscription so I can't read the articles but it feels kind of suspicious.

Focus on Ford decisions
Some of the issues under scrutiny include exempting politicians from the Freedom of Information rules, seizing control of school boards and urging the use pepper spray for self-defence.

Demonstrations will show Ford many residents are “tired of his policies that ignore the input of experts and thousands of diverse citizens,” Newmarket protest organizer Melanie Duckett-Wilson told Metroland Media.

“From the Greenbelt to skilled trades (allegations of political favouritism in the $2.5-billion Skills Development Fund) to Ontario Place to Science Centre scandals, to gutting the Endangered Species Act, cancelling renewable energy contracts, steamrolling ahead with the proposed (Hwy.) 413 and Bradford Bypass and reducing conservation authorities from 36 to nine, millions of people are voicing huge concerns about all of these,” she said.

A special Facebook page, Fighting Ford (protest Doug) has been set up for people to share details about their community protests and how to prepare for the peaceful demonstrations.

1. This is just a horrible spin of French Canadians being angry at Michael Rousseau and 2. Why FB would serve this up to me on my timeline is symbolic of everything wrong with Meta. I hope they continue to have to pay out to the many people who have been harmed by their algorithms.
