@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social @nyc311.bsky.social I was walking home on 35th St in Manhattan. Look at what I saw. We desperately need trash containerization on Manhattan’s 35th street and probably Midtown more broadly. Look at this wall of garbage on 35th street. Its every night. 🤦🏾♂️

I think we in the Urbanist Community should read or listen to chapter 7 of Dan Wangs Book Breakneck. It talks about the fact that most of great works we benefit from today in NYC essentially stopped after Robert Moses. We need to consider this going forward.
@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social if you havent met him already, I really think you should chat with Dan Wang. He wrote this “…Americans do have to choose between poorly governed cities or car dependent suburbs” while lamenting the lack of community in the car dependent suburbs in his book ‘Breakneck’.
I know its hard to believe. But I think we can do better than an awkward slip lane and that little piece of bike lane thats not connected to anything aboce 26th Street. Whats keeping this from being a 2way bike lane that links to 25th and broadway?
