@thebenbyrne.bsky.social re: Initiative talk on the podcast. Giving things static initiative lets you homebrew better synergies between monsters. Giving multiple initiatives to boss monsters can make solo bosses viable, and give a satisfying cost to Legendary Resistances.

It's super simple, but the start to very cool multi-iniative monsters. Here is a (very poorly edited cause it was for personal use) monster I made for 6 Level 12s.
