Had the absolute joy and privilege of seeing the Besnard Lakes at the Hare & Hounds in King's Heath, Brum on Saturday. Ghost Nation was my joint favourite album of last year, so this was always going to be special. Spellbinding.

Had the privilege of attending the rather wonderful @warringtonruncorn.com gig at @justdroppedin.bsky.social in Coventry last Friday evening. Totally mesmerising. Thanks to @joesors.bsky.social for putting this on. Yes, my photos are crap, but I was more focused on the music.

She was working as a waitress in Strasbourg when she met him - not usually a highly paid job. (I've got The Human League in my head now.)

First gig of the year for me last night - the absolutely wonderful @mogwai.scot in Leeds, great support sets from Kathryn Joseph and Cloth. So happy to see Mogwai again... 😍
