Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Jun 17 I’ve always loved the shape of the breadwinner. I made one when I started building guitars because I couldn’t afford an original.

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Jun 16 Oxford rocks. Very good quality lacquer. Here’s some earlier projects, the colours are in the alt txt

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Jun 13 Priming the tele body for the lipstick tele build. If there are no flaws colour spraying starts tomorrow.

More on the tele build. Grain filled, fitting pieces and getting everything aligned. Today drilling the string through and the ferrule holes, final sanding. Tomorrow the start of spraying. #luthier #guitar #telecaster

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Apr 26 Made a leather pickguard for my new three pickup tele build. I’m using Danelectro lipstick pickups for the neck and middle. I just finished the stitching today. The leather is glued to a thin piece of plywood for stiffness. I mixed the colour using analine dyes. #luthier #guitar #leather

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Apr 23 A 70s Lado (a Toronto luthier at the time) that my close friend owned and that I inherited when he passed. This was my first repair job. Someone butchered it to put in a vibrato so I had to fill it and replace the bridge. A fun guitar that has to be played with a strap. #luthier #guitar

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Apr 23 I have an MC300 that was my first guitar. The stickers are from my youth.

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Apr 17 2/2 Lindy Fralin jazz bass pickups, greasy groove pickguard and neck plate in paisley. Temu control plate and Temu active electronics with volume, blend pot, bass and treble boost/cut controls. I put a rechargeable battery in with a USB C charging port. The electronics sound surprisingly good.

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Apr 17 TEMU bass kit build. The price was right so I thought I would see what they were about. I needed a bass in the collection so… Maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, mahogany body. Seafoam Green nitro finish. I replaced all the parts. Badass tuners and string through bridge. 1/2 #luthier #guitar #bass

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Apr 16 I thought I would post some pictures of a 000 acoustic that I’m building. I had an accident sanding the top and ruined the cheap rosette that I bought. So the first pic is different veneer combos I cut out. I’m leaning towards the combo around the sound hole. 1/2 #luthier #guitar

Answer this! If this happens nobody will give a fuck about your excuses. You won’t be able to leave your shithole country ever. You can live in your own excrement.

I’m visiting my daughter in Firenze. At the Gallerie L’Accademia in the instrument room a beautiful parlor sized classical guitar. Spruce and exotic wood that looks like olive wood. 1804.

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Mar 31 This guitar is a rescue project. Ebay pickups, original tailpiece, custom pickguard. 1/2 #luthier #guitar

Tone pros bridge and tail piece. Jack on the side where it should be. Straplock on top bout where it should be. Gibson keystone tuners. #luthier #guitar

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Mar 26 Something a little different today. This is a circle of fifths wheel that I designed in illustrator and cut out on my laser. Maple wheel with figured walnut spinning window. Finished it with butcher block oil to seal the wood. #luthier #guitar#music

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Mar 25 Another double cutaway built. This was my 4th build. Mahogany body with a maple neck, cocobolo fingerboard. Pickups are Seymour Duncan P-Rails with three way switches to get humbucker, P90 and rail combo on both pickups. Merlot dye and nitrocellulose finish. #luthier #guitar

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Mar 24 An oddball build today. Quality chocolate tin slide guitar with nail polish space scenes done by my daughter. Cedar wood surrounding the tin, $40 surplus neck, floating bridge, discount surf 90 single coil pickup. Sounds like a dobro (kinda lol). #luthier #guitar

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Mar 23 My first baritone guitar build. Tele Paulownia body (less that 1kg) painted pacific peach. Warmoth 27” 24 fret baritone neck. Graphtech ratio locking tuners from a 7 string set to get the correct ratio for the low B string. Dimarzio tone zones. Temu bridge and control plate. #luthier #guitar

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Feb 18 It’s a homemade Breadwinner with hand wound mini humbuckers, made of korina. I wanted one since I was a teen.

Look there goes Elvis@sydbarrett99· Feb 18 I have an Epiphone Moderne with that same headstock. Impossible to keep on tune. Looks cool though.
