" “I dreamed of you,” Dilan says almost casually. Out of the corner of his eye, Aeleus can see that he hasn't looked away from the stars. His deep {heather, violet, indigo} eyes look like night poured into his irises. The reflection of countless stars gleam in his pupils.

It's a long moment before anyone says anything else.

“I dreamed of you, too,” Aeleus says. He is not casual. He is matter of fact and straightforward.

“I always hoped you did,” Dilan admits, after another moment.

Aeleus turns to look at him. Dilan is falsely focused on the sky, eyes fixated on a faint star on the edge of the cloud ring.

He's not sure what to say, honestly. He's sure Dilan knows his heart, just like he knows Dilan’s. He wants to say I'm sorry for leaving you alone but he has said with his eyes and been forgiven for it already. He wants to say I know and I did too and I love you, but they're already filling the space between them even without words.

Saying things out loud has never been either of their strong suits.

Aeleus' hand finds one of Dilan's. Slowly, Dilan tears his gaze from the sky to look at him. "

my angel kain is in it as well but I haven't posted about it before now because he's dressed even fucking worse somehow
