There’s been a couple very creative ad campaigns that use pop culture references recently. The one in my station a month or so ago was a tourism campaign for Fukushima Prefecture:
I went to the Munch show in Ueno in 2018, and this was one of the advertisements in the station :)
So I got a news story about how Mister Donut’s popular limited item donut is sold out everywhere, and how one user tried to order online and got a wait time of “1453 minutes.” But my eyes, trained on decades of memes, noticed something about the Net Order logo… Come on Mister Donut… no.
Oh my god I did it!! Have to push for a more solid spot in GoD, but phew… I can rest!
