it's makeaterriblecomicday.com and I’ve been working on my weird queer story about a lesbian couple who met through - and had an eggshell cracked by - the TADC fandom. I debated whether or not to have it as a Wonders of Mundus sidestory - came down on yes for similar themes to TADC. Good times.

I just put in a chapter of The Wonders of Mundus: Book 3 for prereading that made me cry to write and that means I get to share this illustration from it from @darkchibishadow.bsky.social of Ace in Erandite clothing performing The Threshing on Deedee. What does that mean? Questers will know soon.

He turns, to regard the terrified Calice, then walks over to her and offers a hand up. Confused, she takes it, and rises to her feet.

This time, I can clearly see exactly what Ralph does... well, from third person perspective, anyway... to access someone else's character sheet: he clicks the sendjewel stud on Calice's ear three times, and on the third one, also presses into a particular point on the back of her neck.

Her character sheet unscrolls out of thin air, a panel of light suspended horizontally in front of Ralph's eye, off to the side.

Radulf Kintsugi looks her in the eye, and proclaims:

"In the name of Gnomon, Who Knows All That Is Written, for crimes against all of Mundus and her Kithain, I strip you of Enthusement." He flicks a drop-down menu on her sheet set to Elite and sets that to Flunky/Noncom. "And may your heavy heart yet be lighter than a feather ere you die."

Siobhan does a little gesture I've seen her and other Thornites do before: pressing two fingers crossed over each other into her heart – sort of the Thornite version of crossing yourself, I guess.

I never actually used this guy by @rukachorus.itch.io in the novels? In the one-shot he was a Malevolent Entity build, a small-g griefer playing a Warlock who would make his going Berzerk and under his goetic shadow’s thrall the party’s problem. Gerard Morningstar in book 3 was loosely inspired.

I should be, not to sugarcoat it, way the hell out of shape. A sedentary, low-paying job like piloting delivery drones for a Tote-Em-Snax will do that to you, especially when most of your diet needs to be the shit from the heat lamp display and slush dispensers that a convenience store would otherwise throw out. I am – should have been - fat; my roommate, Jules, got lean from getting around on a bike.

Self-deprecating jokes about how "round is a shape" aside, I absolutely should not be as strong as I feel; especially through the brainfogging, hangover-like fatigue pressing me down.

I didn't think much of it at first, but... but we woke up eating shit on the Shores immediately after beating the Glatisant. Shit."

"I think it's a lot more likely that the sword was Bird elemental than Bleak," I say archly.

"Run that past me again?" Kevin said.

"Famous error in Minimon," I say. "Running into a undefined mon fucked up the moves of the others, and suddenly your Pikapiyo is flinging Bird damage instead of Flying, and you can do item duplication, or wipe the cart if you fuck it up. Never a dull moment with Bird-types on your bench."
