The family’s lunch plans did not appeal to me so I stayed behind to make my own food and also enjoy some apple mangoes + alavar bagoong gata, both generously brought over from Zamboanga by my aunt. The mangoes were picked from one of the trees my mom planted decades ago.

Update: I won yarn chicken 😎 This is the Hyde Park Hat (designer: Michele DuNaier), non slouch version. It’s my absolute favorite crochet hat pattern.

TL;DR: A Breakdown of the Changes to Come Starting in March 2026
• The industry is moving toward shorter SSL certificate lifespans (i.e., 47 days). The goal of the ballot's phased reduction is to make the proposed changes "reasonable and attainable."
• Google originally proposed 90-day validity.
Apple said, "hold my beer" and proposed half the lifespan (45 days), but the negotiated validity period ultimately settled on 47 days. (Check out the FAQs at the end of the article to learn more about the changes in certificate validity periods over the years.)
• The certificate lifespan reductions will be implemented in phases:
• ~6 months (starting March 2026),
• ~3 months (starting March 2027), and
• 1.5 months (starting March 2029)
• The amount of time you can reuse validation data will be reduced starting March 15, 2026. This applies to both your organization's subject identity validation data and your domain's validation data.
• Certificates will need to be renewed more often. This increases the need for automation for organizations.

Not the first #Musselburgh hat i started but it’s the first one I’ve finished. At times I worried it was too tight, then I worried it was too loose. But Ysolda T. was right — one must trust the pattern. It fits perfectly, as it turns out. #knitting #hats 🧶

Attempting my first Musselburgh hat. I really should’ve used a heavier yarn because the cast on nearly made me cross eyed.

A knitting project, currently just a square of fabric on four double pointed needles. The yarn is a mango orange, there’s a white stitch marker to mark the start of the round.

I knitted three dice bags and I don’t even play DND. I had to! The pattern was so cute! 🧶 They’re made with brioche honeycomb stitch in two colors, with an icord, uh, cord. (Yes I’m obsessed with brioche knitting right now.)

I think I made the i-cord edge of the opening a tad tight oops. My tension was just all over the place, but it’s nothing a good wet block won’t fix I think. All in all, I’m happy with the pattern. Will definitely make it again. 🧶

Affinity/Canva still hasn’t fixed the typo on their website. Catalina is MacOS 10.15, not MacOS 15 (which is Sequoia). I was able to install it on my MacBook which was running on Sonoma (MacOS 14).
