I made this dress out of some ikea fabric I got for €4 in a charity shop. Didn't have enough fabric for a straight hem so I made it asymmetrical, didn't have a pattern so I winged it. I wore it with a hat I made from a tea towel. I also made my earrings out of plastic straws & pom poms ☺️
I'm in Sligo staying with friends, their nephew who is visiting gave my friends a few of these cards he had made that he puts on cars who have parked badly 🤣
I also loved this mini-museum "The museum of my Great-Grandad", the room is perfect, including the gun under the bed!
I devised a project called Museum of Self and N.S students made mini-museums about their lives. The story behind this one (The Museum of Emmet) was one of my favourites. #BeLikeEmmet

In my job I get to walk past an empty shop, imagine it full of children building cardboard castles and then make that a reality. Creative Places Shannon ran 'Kids Castles and Petite Palaces' as part of Cruinnin na nOg today and it was so much fun (though I'm exhausted!) #LoveMyJob
Just read this in the IT about a woman who started a business making pjs with a zip down the back to stop her child with downs syndrome undressing at night. I find this hugely problematic as an autistic person. 1. Who wants to sleep with a zip down their spine? 2. What is wrong with sleeping naked?
Reading a book about Ireland and this passage from 1910 is the same attitude Dublin City Co has now. "Dublin corporation had regulations about closet accommodation but the city analyst argued that to enforce the regulations would mean closing many homes, leaving tenants homeless"
My cat was attacked by a German Shepherd last night, she's in surgery now. Fingers crossed for my fluffy baby please 😔
When I'm not working I'm busy making wall hangings. These are my latest obsession, I think I've made about 40 with various slogans. All because I now have a kitchen table to make art on! I've dreamed of having a kitchen table for the last 2 years.
Limerick motorway right now. I'm sitting on a bus trying to get to Dublin and every man and his dog is trying to get away from the motorway and onto the local roads. The amount of fuel everyone in the waiting traffic must be wasting with all the stop starting is an outrageous waste.
Busy making stuff all day today. This is how I spend my free time...
Saw a "magical scroll" of an angel giving serious side-eye at the Chester Beatty & an amazing exhibition of Antiguan Artist Frank Walter's work at the Coach House Gallery.
A gorgeous sunny day in Dublin today, wasn't expecting to be in Dublin this weekend but a funeral brought me here. I enjoyed visiting some of my old haunts today.
The beautiful ceiling at John's Lane Church. When I went in today to admire the Harry Clarke windows there was a fiddle player practising on the steps of the pulpit. He said the acoustics are good in there. It was all bit magic and a lot Ireland 💚
I'm currently sitting in Bunratty in the best bus shelter I've ever been in, maybe in my life. Looking across the road at an identical one over there. ✅️ Roofed ✅️ lots of seating that isn't too narrow to be comfortable ✅️ enclosed with windows to keep out wind ✅️ Big enough to fit about 20 people in

A few nights before I left Dublin I went to a final ex opening on Kildare st. Someone took this pic of me & I love it. My big happy head, about to uproot everything and start a new life in a new county, for the second time in 2 years.
Would love to hear more back stories about all the characters whose names are on the steps by the old Coombe hospital!
These boys have one job. To dispense paper. Why are they universally so bad at it? I never anticipated so much of my life would be spent with one hand awkwardly inside one of these yokes, trying to coax a piece of one ply paper to come down. It's so frustrating!
Irish progressive community and media? I'll take that, specially when I'm surrounded by poets and weather 🤣
