The Rose of Venus is also a clock, somehow ⏰👀

It’s a circular pattern, with a 5- pointed rose in the center. In every outer petal of the star there’s a dark dot (The Sun). In the inner part of the rose, where the “petals” start, there are white spots N2,N6,N10,N8,N4 that signify New Venus (like new moon/we can’t see her in entirety). The outermost circle has 5 spots that appear as F1,F7,F5,F9,F3,F7, with the counter clockwise direction, that resemble Full Venus.

The whole picture is a “Rose of Venus”, an orbital pattern that Venus does in correlation to the Sun and the Earth.

PROLOGUE

this book celebrates both the individual and collective awakening to the beauty of the queer experience.

the first half is a deeply personal journey of breaking free.

the poems explore sapphic aching, pricks of curiosity, deep conditioning of compulsory heterosexuality, and grief for the parts of me i never thought id get to meet. then the love and liberation that lathers me when i finally do.

i try not to judge myself for how long it took. instead, i celebrate that i do see now. and that i can never un-see it, not in myself or in others.

this leads into the second half of the book. an exploration of our shared queer awakening as it guides us into the new paradigm.

beyond binaries, beyond black-and-white frameworks. into the flow. into the depth. into the divine feminine that is rising. the divine feminine that knows no bounds, no boxes. she is fluid, powerful, eternal. she is queer.

we are awake. we have ascended and we are ascending. because time is not linear. it spirals and swoops through the past that hasn't happened yet and the future that we remember from yesterday. it's all here. within us.

this book was not written so much as channeled. i am merely the vessel. these poems arrived completely formed, and i felt an urgency to pass them into the world now.

because in an age of inhumane atrocities, patriarchal policies, and spineless silence, who says poetry can't be political?
one verse at a time, we are reclaiming our queerness and unleashing the liberated power that leads to both revolution and evolution.

words alone cannot create new worlds, but new worlds cannot be created without words.

so that's what this book is. a poctic portal. a small contribution to a larger story unfolding in songs and books, films and theater, ritual and dance.

this modern yet ancient art is ushering in a new world.

a world where those who deviate from the status quo are not stigmatized but celebrated.

a world where straight is no longer the default.

a world where queerness is never a crime but always a crown.
