I've had minis like that that stopped me cold, but I have to admit I rather like this dragon. I used it to experiment with speedpaints and used a weekend painting retreat to force me to actually finish a project which I'm not very good at. So now it sits in my office and reads to dragon hatchlings.
It's hammer time! This should qualify, a Sigmar statue that currently watches over the Stormcast Warriors painted by members of my school's tabletop club or participants in the project-week course "How to paint miniatures".
They are and I nearly forgot about this one. How long till retirement?

A Firestarter mech I painted in a 60min competition during my first ever BATTLETECH convention many years ago which to my great surprise was awarded 2nd place.
An experiment in using Speedpaints on a FDM printed mech and a traditionally painted dragon reading to the little ones. Both currently residing in the tabletop-club's showcase at my school.

I know the red tunic is historically inaccurate, but it just looks so cool!
