We are called to live and love as Jesus did, to go to the hardest places, stand with the most vulnerable, and refuse to accept lives being destroyed by extreme poverty.
A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake centred in Chocó has struck Colombia, causing severe shaking and widespread destruction across the region. Pray for people who have tragically lost loved ones, as well as those who are injured, and families waiting anxiously for news as rescue efforts unfold. 🙏

‘May my prayer be set before you like incense…’ (Psalm 141:2) One simple action you can take for our global neighbours today is to pray. 🙏
‘This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.’ (Psalm 118:24 ESV). A gentle reminder for you today. Every single day is a fresh start designed by God. Share this Bible verse to bring a little light to someone else's day.🌿✨

🚨 Two earthquakes, including a historic 7.5 magnitude tremor, have struck near Montalbán and shaken the capital city of Caracas. Dozens of buildings have collapsed, and the official toll of casualties and injuries is rising sharply by the hour. Families have lost everything in a matter of minutes.
At the same time, our global food system is reliant on them as they produce one third of the world’s food. Let’s pray together for communities living in poverty, and particularly for smallholder farmers around the world. Photo Credit: Zacarias Chicuio/Tearfund Mozambique and Tom Price
Smallholder farmers contribute very little to the global emissions which drive climate change, yet extreme weather events, like the predicted super El Niño, pose a critical threat to the world’s 500 million smallholder farmers.
Jesus’ love leads us to care for our global neighbours. While heatwaves affect all of us, people living in poverty are often facing the worst impacts with fewer resources to adapt.

‘People spread lies about the disease. That is why people are afraid to come.’ For 20 years, Pastor Nyakulinda Schadrack has led the ECN Church in Ituri. Today, his ministry faces a deadly strain of Ebola, where the population remains skeptical about the disease. Photo credit: Elijah Muweza
Our teams in the Middle East aren't just serving their communities – they are part of them. Let’s lift up the peacemakers, church leaders, and political leaders guiding the region toward reconciliation. 🙏

Surviving the bombing was only the beginning of the struggle for Wael, a father living with a disability in Lebanon. Now, in a makeshift shelter, the most basic human needs have become his hardest daily battles. ‘The ground is often flooded, making it nearly impossible for me to move,’ he explains.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo with over 400 suspected cases and over 130 deaths reported. Please pray for all those living and working at the epicentre of this current outbreak in Ituri province in the DRC.
Proverbs 19:17 reminds us that when we stand with those in poverty, we are honouring the Lord. Through your prayers and support, local churches are becoming hubs of transformation, bringing hope where it’s needed most. Double-tap if you believe an end to extreme poverty is possible. 🧡
Comment ‘AMEN’ if you’re praying with us. We continue to pray for a lasting and just peace in the Middle East. As ceasefire discussions continue in the coming days, we pray for protection over civilians, wisdom for leaders, and an end to violence.

The recent escalation of conflict in the Middle East is driving an already fragile region into an even deeper humanitarian crisis. Thousands of people have been killed and millions more are displaced.
Working through their local church network, Tearfund partner MERATH, is rapidly scaling their emergency response across Lebanon to deliver life-saving aid.
More than one million people have been forced to flee their homes in Lebanon. For thousands of families, ‘home’ is now a car or a tent in the biting cold, and they now carry the heavy trauma of displacement and the fear that they may never be able to return.
For mothers like Randa, the escalation in the Middle East brings back a familiar feeling of fear. Just nine months ago, Randa struggled to feed her four-month-old Bara’a. Thankfully, she received support from Tearfund’s partner. https://f.mtr.cool/lffkoeuwtt
Join Safa Hijazeen, Tearfund's Regional Director for the Middle East, in prayer as he lifts up the Middle East region to the Lord. Pray that God will comfort those who are grieving and in pain from the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
