To address this issue, we propose the Transit Disruption Accountability Policy-a framework that ensures drivers found guilty of causing accidents on active transit routes are held financially responsible for the scale of disruption caused.

1. Fines Proportionate to Service Disruption
• A tiered fine system would be introduced based on the duration of service delays caused by an accident or improper use of transit infrastructure like dedicated traffic lanes.
• Longer delays would result in higher fines, reflecting the broader impact on passengers, transit schedules, and network reliability.
2. Infrastructure Damage Recovery
• If transit infrastructure is damaged (e.g., shelters, transit-only lanes, bus platforms, or traffic signals), fines would include an additional component to fully cover repair and replacement costs.
• This ensures taxpayers are not left bearing the financial burden of preventable damage.
3. Severity and Scope of Disruption
• Higher penalties would be applied when incidents disrupt high-capacity transit lines or cause cascading delays across the network.
• This recognizes the greater economic and social costs of large-scale service interruptions.

Revenue Allocation
• First Priority: Covering direct costs of repairs and service restoration.
• Secondary Allocation: Any remaining revenue would be reinvested into public transit improvements, such as accessibility upgrades, service reliability initiatives, or safety enhancements on transit corridors.
This reinvestment ensures that funds collected directly benefit the riders and communities impacted by disruptions.
Expected Outcomes
• Accountability: Drivers will be held responsible for the broader consequences of unsafe driving on transit-priority streets.
• Incentivized Safer Driving: By attaching real financial consequences to service disruptions, drivers will be encouraged to exercise greater caution in transit-heavy corridors.
• Stronger Transit Systems: Dedicated reinvestment of fine revenues will strengthen transit reliability, safety, and infrastructure.
• Equity for Riders: The policy acknowledges the inconvenience and lost time faced by thousands of riders when transit service is disrupted and works to offset these impacts through system reinvestment.

Thank you for your email concerning the use of props during House of Commons proceedings; namely, in this case, the holding up of Bibles by certain Members of Parliament during the recorded division (vote) on Bill C-9 on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Indeed, as a rule, props are not permitted during House proceedings, and the Speaker will typically intervene in real time during debate to call out a Member who is using a prop. It is very unusual, however, for the Speaker to intervene and disrupt a vote. This would normally be done only where there is very grave disorder impacting the conduct of the vote.

Contact the Attorney General, the Ontario Ombudsman and RCMP.
•Breach of The Members' Integrity Act
- arguments can be made that Ford has violated ethical standards including conflict of interest rules.
There is a potential conflict of interest with the FOl restrictions which personally benefit Ford and the court order to produce his phone records.
Urge your MPPs (that did not vote in favour of Bill 97) to request an investigation by the Ontario Integrity Commissioner.
